So, I have a project in mind that should keep me busy.

I want as many people to come here and talk about things that happened in 2014 that affected them in some kind of way. At the end of the month, I may make a video, or I may just make a post of the biggest things. I haven't decided this part yet, but it is part of a taking on a big project.

So, I will start off.

One of my favorite childhood actors passed away. And this actor's name would be Robin Williams. I grew up on Mrs. Doubtfire and Jumanji. When he passed away, I watch a lot of his movies that I had never seen. One that really stands out was Good Morning, Vietnam! That was right up his alley.
Another thing that happened to me was a really good friend of mine from high school passed away from Cancer. He was one of the quiet guys, but was everybody's friend. Nobody knew he has cancer. He didn't tell anybody. And it hurts that he didn't tell me ever because I was one of his closest friends. I wasn't able to go to his funeral as I now live on the other side of the country, but still, it hurts.

So yeah, the 2 biggest things that I can think to mention right now are about people dying.

What about you guys? Anything you want to add? What happened to you in 2014 that is worth mentioning.

This is an easy one for me, bro.

I've been bowling my whole life, and I absolutely love it! I remember when I first started realizing how good I really was at it, I wondered "gee, I wonder if I could get a sponsor to pay for my stuff." Well, I had zero luck when I was still a youth bowler. Then, I started working for the local pro shop ( that I am the manager of today ). The guy who trained me on everything told me "when you eventually start running your own shop, you'll be able to get on staff ( a sponsor ) with someone." The very thought of it got me all excited!

After 2 - 3 years of working for the shop, another pro shop a couple towns over finally opened up, and I was the next in line to become manager. Long story short, FINALLY this past July 2014, I submitted a Hammer contract, and I'm now on staff with Hammer bowling! I had dreamed of this day when I was a youth bowler, and I finally have the privilege of living it!

If I remember right, last time you said you were going to do a big project like this, it was also during a TdV month, and you never actually completed the project.  Are you sure this isn't for TdV points?

If you want some things, I already created a thread almost exactly like this, but I didn't claim to be working on a big project or anything. You can probably ask those people if you can use their stuff.  It's called "What did this year teach you?".

Singelli : I don't remember anything about a previous project during a TdV month unless it was that story that me and a friend wrote. But no, I plan on doing something with it. I would like to make a video, I just don't know how I would go about doing a video is all. So, I just have to figure out how I would make a thread / post out of it.

thing1 : I also was shocked and saddened by the death of Robin Williams. I was amazing as Genie in Aladdin and he was a genuinely great person. One thing that effected me in a positive way in 2014 was seeing my favorite basketball the Dayton Flyers make that incredible run in March Madness. I was so happy with their perfomance that I decided to buy a UD Elite 8 shirt. Also seeing my favorite NFL team the Cincinnati Bengals win a really important primetime game against the Denver Broncos was a great way to end my year.
