I've played many Pokémon games but my favorite is the ruby/sapphire/emerald generation (so glad about the remakes) so what is the best Pokémon games you have ever played from your childhood

I've always been a Pokemon Silver person, myself. It gets everything right that a pokemon game should get right.

   Fifth generation is my favorite for sure . It was the first generation that I really got into and played through, and when you finish the game you always feel like there's still something to do, unlike X/Y I've been told. When you finish X/Y, there's nothing to do. I had Pokémon White and one of the coolest features was White Forest. You could get a whole lot of Pokémon there that you couldn't get anywhere else . Pokémon White was my second Pokémon game and it was better than my first, which was Pearl.

    I liked 4th Gen for HeartGold and SoulSilver. You play in the Johto region for the first half of the game and you move to Kanto for the second half. It's like 2 games in one! I know that HeartGold and SoulSilver were remakes of the Gen 2 games but I never played the original Gold and Silver. Diamond and Pearl were Ok games, but they weren't too interesting compared to Gen 5.

   Gen 3 was awesome, even though I've only played it on this site. I can understand why it's many people's favorite. I think the graphics had something to do with it, I mean the jump they made from Gen 2 to 3 was amazing. It was probably disappointing that there was only one region again, but the game was so much fun you can't really complain. The story was great and there was a lot of exploring to do.

   Gen 2, like I said, I haven't exactly played. I do know that it had to have been amazing because I've played SoulSilver. There was way more color in it than there was in Gen 1, so that had to have been exciting .

   Then there's Gen 1. I've only played it on Vizzed, but I have to say it was awesome. It's definitely a really great starter for the whole Pokémon series. It was the first Pokémon generation so you know there are going to be flaws, but for me, it was perfect. I didn't find myself getting bored once .

   Yup, Gen 5 is my favorite. I can't say anything about Gen 6 as I haven't gotten the chance to play it or own it, but I will soon . Peace .

xzknights : My absolute favorite Pokemon game ever is Pokemon Emerald because the Team Magma/Aqua storyline makes more sense than in Ruby and Sapphire. Also Emerald has the greatest post game area ever: The Battle Frontier!

I choose the classic ones because it is the best for me. Pokemon red version is my favorite because it is my very first pokemon games I ever played it is my favorite because I like the pokemon before than we have right now.

Prior to my 10 year leave from the Pokemon series in 2004, if I had to pick my favorite, it had to be Pokemon Silver, because the reason I pick this game, you can play in both Johto and Kanto regions which I really like playing in 2 different regions. and the Legendarys like Luiga and Ho-Oh in those games are quite nice, and why I like it.
