These are two of my favorite franchises. I am not sure which I like best. The great stories, character development, and all round game play of the Final Fantasies. Or, the edge or your seat action/horror that comes with the Resident Evil games. What is your opinion and why?

Of these two I am going to pick Final Fantasy simply because I have played Final Fantasy games a lot more than I have played the Residen Evil games and I love the giant worlds that the FF games offer.

Apples and oranges my good friend. Both franchises have their amazing games and their less than amazing games, but the reason you play them is different so which one you prefer really depends on what kind of game you feel like playing not which is better. I think I prefer FF as a franchise simply because it is bigger and covers more game styles through their branch spin off titles, where resident evil has less room to play with game play because of the horror theme.

I would have to go with Resident Evil,its series has always been great for me to play! It's the game I started playing ever since I got in to gaming! I may have just been a kid at the time,but I am proud to say Resident Evil 2 was by far one of the best Resident Evil games I have had ever played,though I feel a little let down with the newer series of Resident Evil seemingly they took the horror out of the game,it was still pretty scary for me in Resident Evil 4 since they introduced some new stuff I have never seen before! It was great! Though Resident Evil 4 was pretty good I even own it for 360 now just cause I just really love that game,just it doesn't scare me as much as it once did when I was younger...though when it came to Resident Evil 5 and 6 it kind a lost its horror touch and became a normal game to me just like CoD,it just lost its touch...

For Final Fantasy I never really ever got in to the game,though I do admit it does have a pretty good story line for the most part,just I could never really get in to actually playing the game full on and actually enjoying it that much,but I can say which I think it was Final Fantasy X,if I am correct on the game's number.....it was my most favourite final fantasy game out of all of them in the whole series. That was literally the only one I could ever get in to really,but after I beat it,I didn't exactly wanna play it again,which quite let me to not really care for the series in general. Though I guess if I did try to play the game again from a new series I might like it and I probably won't like it at the same time. Though for most I can understand why people love the game so much. It is pretty interesting and has tons of potential that it could work with and mostly does.just the battle scenes and what not,I just don't really care for how slow paced it can be.
