Five Nights at Freddy's 3 has been officially confirmed. If you go on scottgames.com then scroll down a bit, you will see a blurred in 3. As of right now, none of Scott Cawthon's games have made it to a 3rd installment, so it'd only make sense to be referring to the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Furthermore, if you dig deep into the code of the site (i.e. inspect element) then you will see text saying, 'five, nights, at, freddys, 30 years later, only one'. More information will be posted once it's brought up.

I thought the first Five night at Freddy's game seemed cool but number 2 mostly seemed like a cash in on the success it had gained due to how soon afterwards it was released and seemed meh-ish at best and the fact that they're making a 3rd so soon after that makes it seem to me like it's going to be another cash in title. I'll probably check out a gameplay video or something once it gets released but strongly doubt I'll get it for myself.

What we have is a very logical conclusion, and almost certainly a correct one, but it isn't "official" until the developer outright says they're making it. A simple mixup on terminology, I'm sure. No big deal, I just wanted to point out that this should be considered a rumor or a strong probability rather than an official confirmation. I seriously suspect it's correct though.

And if that is indeed the correct conclusion, it's very smart and a great way of building public anticipation. Much better than an outright announcement from the get go.

I love the first and second game. And as a huge fnaf fan, I cannot wait for the third. Love how Scott is so good at hiding all the story/lore in the game and makes you have to hunt for the information to find anything out. It's like solving a mystery.
