Hollyleaf : I think you mean Pokémon Ultra Violet. If you walk on a certain grass patch, the next Pokémon you encounter is a shiny. If this is not the game that you mean, then I'm sorry. But I recommend to play this game - all 387 Pokémon are catch-able and the game is a really fun game to play!
