I understand very, very well that I might be the only one that feels this way but....

Does anyone feel like our cap of 'likes' and 'dislikes' needs an increase?  I know the limit was placed to avoid system abuse, but every day I feel like there are more posts I want to like after I run out! 

So I wanted to see if anyone else feels this way before officially 'suggesting' it.

Mark them for the next day.

How do I mark them for the next day though? Bookmarking seems an annoying way to do it. Same with favoriting.

Plus, if I save them for the next day, then I have less likes to use on that day!

Well, the only thing I can see happening is increasing the total number of likes that each person can give in a day, but keeping the number of likes that will give CP at the same number. Like CP can be given for the first 10, and then the next 10 don't give CP to either the likor or the likee. Other than that, it's just going to lead to people liking posts non stop.

I think we should decrease both, honestly. The only exception will be if you're a trusted+ member, in which case you'll have the limit you do right now. I can name at least one example of likes getting abused, and that user still hasn't received a proper punishment, from what i can tell.

tl;dr, decrease limits for newbies and normal members, keep them for trusted+.

I usually feel like the limit is too low but at the same time it just makes the liking of a post all that much more special so...  I really could go either way on a thing like this.  

I think I have to agree with fight. 
Having limited likes makes them mean more instead of a user just clicking like on a bunch of posts. 

Or perhaps, there could be an increased limit for liking posts but not for disliking posts. That way, there isn't any abuse and it can make some users more happy. 

And the CP daily limit could stay unchanged for both "Post rating" and "Post rated". (And also, actions that surpass the daily limit wouldn't count towards the green jersey)

But honestly, this isn't really such a big deal though. But it could make some users who like to "like" posts often more happy. lol

mohammedroxx3 : Except currently, the likes and dislikes limits are connected to each other. 1 dislike is worth 3 likes. So for a regular member who has a limit of 3 likes, if they dislike once, they would be done for the day.

I think for something like this, it would depend on the usage of likes and dislikes and if there are more members like Singelli who think there is a need of a higher like/dislike limit. It also depends on how active the forum is day by day, for there is consistently more posts on the forum that deserves likes or dislikes, then there would be a need to increase the limit for people to rate posts instead of requiring people to continue to accumulate more posts for them to remember and remember and remember. For now, I think it would be helpful if there is poll to ask how often do people use the like/dislike feature daily, and whether people think it's too high or too low of a limit. This is assuming that people actually use the rating system frequently.

No, I don't think there needs to be more likes and dislikes. Honestly, I find very few posts I like a lot, and just as few that I dislike a lot. The system should be used to find posts that are both good and bad. A lot of posts made are just average.

I mean, I know people want to support certain people for whatever reason, but that's what makes likes valuable, because there's a limit on how many you can give.

Honestly, I wonder if the limits should be lowered.

Singelli : Well I feel like I should say something here as my activity with post rating might be thought as abusing the system, but first I would join the band wagon with getting more likes or dislikes to a member (not just the named "member", but also everyone on the site) of vizzed. But I'm not sure if an increase in the number of posts that a member can like will be the best thing for the site as like other people say, people will abuse the opportunity in the matter. Though even if there is an increase in post liking and disliking, some people may still not even use the system, so you could look at it in that way, so mostly I think the system is fine the way it is, or the amount of posts that can be liked or disliked is fine with the number given to the members on the site, but if an increase of posts liking and disliking is implemented and we go that route, I would be okay with it too. But I don't think there is anyone else on this site that goes to their limit everyday, so keeping the original system would probably be the most meaningful approach since I just want to say again, I don't think a lot of people use the system anyway in the first place, so a lot of the new amount of liking and disliking would probably go unused to many people of the site.

I feel like Vizzed should increase the like and dislike system a little more but I do agree with a limit due to spamming. The system needs to be balanced somehow.
