Yet again another anime review, these things get harder and harder to write every time, and of course considering the average anime is around 24 episodes a season.. Soon when i run out of anime to review i would have to watch for around 11-12 hours of anime just to release a new review.. So eventually these may come to a stop. As i have better things to do during my day like Playing video games and generically wishing i could Either way i hope you enjoy the following review and as always any opinions are greatly appreciated. Synopsis Beneath the surface , Ryuji Takasu , is a really nice and caring guy . However his appearance betrays him in that aspect , everyone around him thinks he is this mean , scary person when all he really wants is for his crush to notice him . On the surface , Taiga Aisaka , is a small and delicate looking girl but as soon as she opens her mouth it becomes clear she is very harsh and stubborn . All she wants is for her crush to notice her . Together these two try to help each other get what each other wants . Genre 8 Wow , another romantic comedy! I think what makes this one do it is genre justice is it is not simply a romantic comedy . It knows when to get serious and it knows when to take into account emotions . It does pretty well in that aspect and the only real reason I give it an 8 is because of how common romantic comedies are and most of them produce the same feeling or use the same material . The story line is not this super predicable thing , you still get surprises throughout the series . Do not expect this to be entirely unique , there are times when you are going to know exactly what is going to happen next. Story 9 This is actually not so typical in my opinion . It was a very unique story that was not always so predicable like a lot of romantic comedies are . The reactions were realistic , you can really empathize with the two main characters . The true intentions of the plot are not as obvious as they seem at first , but when you do get to the true core of it all the pace seems to quicken and maybe feel slightly rushed , however I can not say exactly how I feel about it because I do not want to give anything away . This is just one of the more original romantic comedies out there from what I have seen , things are not as cliché as they are maybe lead on to be , but they are cliché in some ways . Detail 8 Once again the style is fairly typical for modern anime . Though at this point it is to be expected , I can really only think of a handful of anime that actually go outside the norm to create something artistically unique . Though it may be typical it is still pleasing to the eye and the flow of movements is top notch on its own . The characters actually are unique in their design for the most par t, the main male characters story line actually revolves around the way his appearance is so there is that , though honestly the only remarkably noticeable thing is his eyes . I do not have any complaints about how the art is , everything is nicely made with no shortage of anything . Sound 7 Nothing exactly notable about any of the music in here , the background music is as always a nice touch to set the mood and a good helper to know when the scene is dramatic or humorous , if you can not understand the mood setting by just viewing them . Even the openings are not anything too special , nothing is wrong with them of course just not very exciting or memorable . The second ending was probably my favourite of all four opening and endings , I just was not all that impressed with the music in here. Addictiveness 8 I finished this within a week at least , it was a very enjoyable anime and I am happy I watched it . The story was endearing as were the characters . The intentional funny parts were indeed funny ,the intentional sad parts actually made you feel sad , you feel every scene the way the creators intended and it is definitely one of my favourite romantic comedies . Over-All 8 Definitely give this a shot if you enjoy romance or even if you want to watch something a bit relaxing , this is not something you need to invest yourself in but it is highly enjoyable from my perspective . You get a chance to see a not so typical story for a common theme. Seriously these reviews are killing me, In a perfect world writing reviews would not be so torturous or taxing on the brain, but for now i will try to keep plowing the reviews out and trying not to rip my hair out at the same time.
