Is this your favorite Paper Mario game? If not, then which one is and why?

I liked Thousand Year Door better because it seemed to have a better story and improved gameplay all around. If it weren't for the excessive amount of backtracking, TTYD would've been perfect.

Absolutely not.
Why would it be when Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door did pretty much every single thing better? Better soundtrack, better chapters, bowser interludes, better partner characters, better battle system, better platforming... The list goes on and on.
Needless to say TTYD is my favourite hands down.

gamerforlifeforever2 : I would say my favorite Paper Mario game is the "The Thousand Year Door." It had a better story and better boss fights in my opinion.

The n64 on was my personal favorite but I never got to play thousand year door (might get it eventually) and I know a lot of people will kill me for saying this but I actually loved Super paper Mario as well as it combined a Mario rpg story with platforming

gamerforlifeforever2 : Absolutely it is! This isn't just my favorite Paper Mario game, it's my favorite game of all time! It's so classic and sets up several concepts used later on in the series even though it's not the most famous game. I completely like it above the later games, especially Thousand Year Door because that one pretty much ripped off so much from the first game. The later Paper Marios were ok, though, and I also really like Super Paper Mario, the Wii one where you can switch from 2D to 3D, though that kinda changed the game.
All in all, this is probably the second best and most classic Mario game after the original Super Mario Bros, though I like this game better.
