Hello people I just have a simple question.

What do you really like about this gaming forum. It's obvious most people enjoy older games here, and there is a whole social integration with the forum message board and everything. But if you didn't realize I am new here and I'm also low on Viz credit and I don't know many of you so.

post back here if you would like to get to know me and also help out with some extra Viz.

I'm on Vizzed because quite a large amount of the games I play here I can't play anywhere else, and the community is the best. I really like that you can play a lot of hacks here and that the community is so friendly. What do you want Viz for? If you tell me, I'll know how much of it you want. I won't give you most of it, because there's a surprise event I want to do for Vizzed Board's 10 year anniversary that I really want to have 100,000+ Viz for.

Well I am mostly here for enjoyment and gaming. It's easy to use and I can spend my free time here leisurely, It's also a good alternative to social networks like face book etc, So I can keep myself occupied at the same time.

I'm happier doing all of this then sitting on face book for hours scrolling at random stuff.

I started my vizzed account to play hacked versions of Fire Emblem.

I came simply because of the superb collection of classic games. It's one thing to just download and play at least half of these games, but to have a whole website dedicated to classic games as well as creating a forum community of people with different interests is commendable. You have to give credit to David (creator of Vizzed) for coming up with this idea. My only gripe is that I discovered this site only two months ago. I wish I found Vizzed sooner.

Besides the games, I post on these forums every now and then. The majority of the users here seem friendly and level-headed. You're bound to make a connection with at least one person.

So yeah, that's why I'm on Vizzed. I came for the games, and stayed for the website and its people.

For me I love playing games so all the games are great and on top all of that it is great talk to new people.

RockmanXLan : I am also. Sadly, one of my friends does that a lot... he has literally hundreds of friends on Facebook and he very rarely talks to me... I don't care about Facebook anymore, and I only did for around a year. It e-mails me every day, and it drives me crazy. I'm not unsubscribing to them because if I do that, I'll miss people's birthdays. If Vizzed is ever down, try to find Facebook's Vizzed games app and play classic games there.

I originally was just here for the gaming. I found this site when I was 9 years old, but didn't register until I was 12. I had never thought about it until then, and registering here is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've grown as a person partly because of this site, and even when I was immature in real life I badly wanted to be mature here. A little while after I registered, I started posting about games on the forums. Back then, I was shy and only posted so I could reach Member rank... it didn't take long for me to become a frequent poster here, and since I was posting in a lot of this site's forums, I made some friends.

I came to Vizzed because of the games, but I'm here for the community. I've never seen such a great ensemble of folks just hanging out. It's one of the few places on the web I really trust.

I initially came to vizzed for the games, and nothing else. I came over to the board to get rid of the newbie status. I have stayed here ever since... Sorry that I can't help you right now, with the viz, I am saving up, I owe some Viz to someone...  Back to the why I came, it was actually the game Super Metroid. I was looking on Google for it, and I finally found it here.

PacmanandMariofan : Wow you were really young when you found this site, that's pretty cool that you're into retro games, Like when I was around your age. I just played Game boy advance all day, and having an older brother who owned a Sega mega drive was a lot of fun.

I am grateful for the fun times my brother and I had in my childhood, but I'm not here to be all nostalgic.

I am happy about the responses from you guys, it's nice. Good community.
If there weren't I wouldn't be here.

Really, I have the same story as a lot of people here.
Came for the games, stayed for the community.
Plus, I actually decided to try my hand and writing a game review for extra Viz and...
well I really took to it.
Now I look forward to writing the next review, not just for the viz, but for the fun of it.
And as I'm getting to know people, I'm finding a lot of friendly and intelligent people.
Also, the huge selection of retro games is really a plus.

The beauty is you can check the forums any time or ask someone if you need some information and can't find it elsewhere.

The reason why I'm on Vizzed because I'm a freaking mod for crying out loud I just really like how how the community of Vizzed happens to be to be honest and also with all the classic games you can play on, this really make it a pretty great site to be on, really out of any other site.

Like I mostly came here for the games at first, but now I'm here for everything else

IgorBird122 : Good for you man, I'm still sort of new to the forums and stuff. There's heaps of content though. It might take me a while to feel more comfortable just putting things out there. I might even have to work on my confidence, but I mean who doesn't have comfort barrier that needs to be pushed at times.

That's sort of a reason I'm using the forums. To be social, but not have to worry so much.

How did you become a mod might I ask?

RockmanXLan : Becoming a mod is a little tough to accomplish, it's like you don't become a mod overnight, to become one you need to active a whole lot more, post a whole lot more, be extremely well known on the site, and have the will to keep at it in the boards.

I initially joined Vizzed around Christmas '08 because I get-your-rom had some sort of bonus for signing up here. I was really into chat rooms and the like back then, so I stuck around Vizzed even though it was mainly a dead board. I was around for when the RGR was implemented, and that generated a huge influx of traffic. The Retro Toon Room was next (RIP in peace, Megavideo), and that brought a lot of traffic too. I came for whatever bonus GYR was offering and stayed because of the great friends I made here.

I'm here right now because my laptop recently got fixed and I wanted to get back into Vizzed, catch up with old friends and make new ones

I've been on Vizzed since Feb 2010, I honestly first joined to play sonic the hedgehog 2 but i found other more convenient ways to play it with a controller,

After that i became friends with a lot of decent users on the site and the friendships that i made influence me to want to visit this site on a daily basis.. I don't actively play any of the games in the Retro Game Room, Unless i am competing in a competition, For example Vizzed Survivor: Kanashi shima.

Besides that, I usually just chat to members, annoy other members by pure accident. Get moaned a lot and maybe post the odd once or twice a day.. Though maybe one day I'll get my average posts per day up to an amazing 3, *We can all dream*

It's pretty much the same reason why most people stay at specific forums though.. It is because of the friends they have made and they are usually the main reason, and main appeal to continuing to use any forum
