Has anyone had any good capture the flag tournaments in Minecraft?

Or do you find if more boring?


My biggest problem is I have a big imagination but it takes time to set up- even in creative mode, and I have fanfics and stuff to wright.

I only have the Xbox360 version, so it would be free for all, or 2 vs 2.

But I love the idea of people building their frost, (creative mode please, I don't have that much time!) and then trying to steal the blue wool or something like that.

But it takes like. . .. 5 hours to build a good fortress, and I'm not sure I wanna be that patient.

I know that it could be really epic if I'm patient, and put the time in that it may be well worth it.


Also. . . .sometimes it's hard to find the right place to build.

I don't want my fort to close, or too far away from my siblings.


They've already generated several maps, and I'm glad to see what they've already built.
But it's like I begin my project, and I start to dislike something.

ie, location, or, it just seems like the end product will be to drab.


But I've dealt with this before.

There are a few things I've started thinking that they will be drab, and they turn out fine- if I just keep pushing past the "rough" stage, where you're laying all the groundwork.

Well, my jungle island is supposed to be a place for that kind of stuff (at least only in Vizzed's server), but David haven't installed any mods for it, and without any mods there'll be chaos.

What rules did you have in mind?

It's a great idea, and I can think of a few ways that it could be done on the Vizzed Server.

Although my method would utilize certain commands that could be better controlled in the mini-game world.

Unfortunately I don't have the XBox version, so I'm not sure what features it contains.

If it's anything like the mobile version, I can see how you could play CTF, but it would have to be completely manual. That means you'd have to put trust in your friends not to mess with the flag or create new ones. Or find ways to leave the arena if you make one. In essence, it would take a lot of work and trustworthy opponents, but it might be possible to play.

Just to make sure: If you die on Xbox Minecraft, do you drop your items?

well if anyone wants one for the vizzed mc server on pc you could use command blocks. i know a few things about them and i believe that other people know more, look for them to help. or ask me, i could also help build. i believe that if done the right way it would be easy. another way is if you use shovels set to get a certin block you could set it to the oppisit teams flag/block item(may only work in 1.8) but that would be for the server, for xbox i think it would just be trust.

The only thing that effects the practicality of using the Xbox Version rather than the PC one is the fact that you can only join games if you are friends with at least one of the players on the server. I don't actually know what the limit is, but yeah if you are planning to play with your siblings the most you can do is 2v2 if you are only using one console.

If there has been a capture the flag mode added then you're set to go but if it is yet to then you could always put a certain item representing one team in a chest to take back to that teams own chest.

Also to answer EM's question you do drop all of your items if you die.

Well, on 360 (I have PS3), build it out of bedrock in creative (yes, it'll be a bit ugly) and play iit in survival with wool (your just have to trust that one team is note just carrying their own flag on them all the time. Or (if there is Adventure in coonsole, I forget) just use wool in chests.

But for PC (which I would much rather see done), we do it on the Vizzad (I just said that) server and protect the grounds but make it so that you can use wool (I just said that, again) and then trust that one team won't just carry their own flag on them the whole time. Or just protect and use chests, but that would be no fun (no flag hiding).
