Hi,

I'm sure this has happened to most of you. You really like someone, maybe in a romantic way, maybe not; you think you have a pretty good idea on who they are... and then you see them do something you think is terrible. It wasn't necessarily to YOU, but it was something you really don't agree with.

Well, I recently started dating a girl. Things were going really well till I found out she was.....fairly racist, lol. Started making comments I didn't agree with, then got really upset when I informed her my previous girlfriend was African American (I'm Caucasian). She was "willing to let it go", but I wasn't. A shame. She was so intelligent too, then I find that out. A wonder that someone so sharp can have such a dated and ignorant perspective. Oh well, fish in sea and such....

Well, I've never dated anyone quite yet and I don't really plan to any time soon, but sometimes there are people that I might actually put into consideration and most of the time I end up disappointed because they are either racist, stuck up or just plain obnoxious. The majority of things they do annoy me, but I don't point it out, rather I just cringe on the inside and then I move on. There are other people out there, I am sure I will find the right person eventually.....

When I actually get into the dating and serious relationship portion of my life however, I will make sure to bring these little things to their attention though and work /talk it out if it is something that really bothers me. If it's just a little pet peeve then I am sure I can get over it with time and not let it bother me.

Yeah, this has happened to me. Like my Dad for example. When I was getting out of the Army, he decided to tell me 2 weeks after I got out of the Army that I could have fought my discharge. I don't want to get too much into it for my own reasons, but he could have told me this instead of accepting a sarcastic response to his question over the phone before I got out.

Yeah. When I met my best friend in the 6th grade, I very much liked him and thought he was pretty cool. We were pretty close and did things together almost every day. But now, 2 years later, I know more about. Some time during the 7th grade I started to figure out that he was kind of a jerk. He has no concept of sharing, he is very rude and insulting, and one of his main hobbies is to invade people's privacy. But hey, I still like him. We have lots of fun together, I'm just bothered by his rude behavior.

I went out with this guy during the summer and there's just one thing I really hated about him... and that's being extremely racist. I hate racist people above all and it just angered me a lot every time he made a racist comment, and he did that often.

I'll try to be a bit vague for personal reasons, so without further explanation; Plainly watching friends make continuous wrong choices in life. It's not easy seeing people you care for go down the wrong paths, knowing they have/ had so much going for them only to see them throw it all out the window for the poor decisions they make. I can't exclude myself from that issue though so I don't hold anything against any of these people, I can only avoid being dragged into with them and hope they see what they're doing to themselves and the people around them and look at their lives in a different light. Of course people are very selfish at heart, it's not likely to happen but sometimes it does.

Well something that really honestly bothers me is when I see people that I care about in one way or another smoke cigarettes... I know it's their choice whether they want to smoke or not, but cigarettes damage your lungs so much and it's sad to me to see people I care about slowly (or quickly) destroy their lungs. I won't hold that against anyone but it's just something that I don't personally like.

I've had quite a few friends who turned out to be complete jerks. They'd bully, they'd be annoying, they'd do anything in their power to piss people off. I can't and won't stand people like that. I did to those guys what I'll do to anyone who's like that: leave them behind.

I think these kind of events happen to everyone in the course of their lifespan... After all, we all have our morals and our different beliefs so it's pretty natural for you to be against something that perhaps your best friend did/likes...

The first instance that comes to mind when my friend and I went to the local swimming baths and after our session in the pool had ended he checked in all the lockers to essentially look for something to steal... Sadly for one person he ended up stealing their phone..I was mortified when i found out about it. 

BUT ALAS, the ironic thing is that my friend had that exact phone stolen from him the next day... So that's karma for you
