thenumberone : True I think mostly those cinemas feared the customer's safety and well-being which is quite understandable. But still, I (and a lot of other people) don't like it.

Even President Obama said that it isn't really fair that North Korea can release a number of movies, TV shows, and video games that is against the United States, but the United States can't release just one movie against North Korea.

I think that this is up among the top of the stupid list for things I have heard that dude do. No one in their right mind would go to war with any country over something so trivial as a movie. I can't see what his issue is other than an inflated ego. Hopefully he is not dumb enough to follow through with this but if he is then I'm pretty sure he'll regret it. Sucks to be him.

I read a lot about this subject. And I have to say it's sad that a war can start over a movie. It wasn't even a good movie. But we do have freedom here and to be this upset over a movie is just sad and shows how weak they are. And to call are leader a monkey. Was way more over the line thin this movie. If are movies are so bad and make them mad. Stop watching USA movies. . It's that simple.

Well, anyways, based on what I heard, all of you all are aware that the movie was now released (since this past Thursday [Dec. 25th]) and a lot of people thinks the movie was ok. like what the people thinks on the movie that it needed a whole lot more than what was shown.

I personally haven't watched the movie myself, even know a movie theater near where I lived (like around 25 miles from where I lived) has showed The Interview, but I personally didn't go, I wanted to, but I wanted to see the reviews before I went and all the reviews I seen, it didn't interested me enough to go watch it. So all and all, all that controversy wasn't really worth it to be honest.

FYI, North Korea said that it was disgusting that the US would make a movie like this.

How would the US like it if somebody made a movie centered around killing Obama? They sure as hell wouldn't like it.

North Korea tried to help the US to find the hackers, and the US instead pinned blame on NK for it, even though they were looking to help.

Yet people wonder why the US has enemies.

alexanyways : Well, if you looked at the history of North Korea, they have made a ton of movies against the United States, well before the US released Team America World Police, so we have seen our fair share of anti-American movies, and we haven't made any movies to counter this until Team America and The Interview.

The government only took a stance when Sony was hacked.

I'm not sure how we can verify whether NK was really trying to help find the hackers.
All I know is that the FBI released a report saying it was the NK government behind the attacks.
We can't verify this, but I'd take the FBI's word over that of the North Korean government.
