Because don't question Davideo7's choices! Lol, likely to keep people from spending too much time there, or make people who spend alot of time in there be active on the site too. But it doesn't matter too much, it won't kick/keep you from the chatroom at 0 viz, but you will go into the negetive.

The chat room is actually a demon, and if every person that stays in chat does not give the demon their Viz then it will unleash its wrath and suck the souls out of every chatter.

I have no idea if users can enter chat with negative viz, though.
