Question about the title 'Board'

I was eating, while eating I was thinking my brother dislikes Vizzed, but he isn't a Retro Gamer/Foru guy, I understand, and then this came up in my mind: Why are the Forums called the 'Vizzed Boards'? I don't get the Board part, why a Board? When I signed up, I saw Board, I thought it was a page with Board Flash Games, so I check that out and that's mainly how I got into the forums
So yeah, my question, as I said, why is it named a Board? I just got curious so yeah, heres the thread

It's likely because another word for forum is board, and another word for forum is also message board. But why would it really matter? It doesn't really affect Vizzed Board in any way.
