Overall Bulbasaur is pretty weak and it is the popular among the generation one starters. All of its stats are well below average (which is to be expected since it is only in its first evolution stage.) Its two best stats are special attack and special defense which are tied at 65. It is a good idea to evolve it since it is extremely weak. It is mostly a tank meant to take special hits as a Venusaur, but if needed it can attack too. 


As a Bulbasaur though, it is pretty pathetic. 


Next pokemon to hate on is Cacturne.

Cacturne is a horrible Pokémon. There are several reasons why. First of all, it has spikes and is basically a hybrid between a cactus and a scarecrow. Seriously, if one of those aren't bad enough, you combine both of them? Secondly, Harley has one of these. The pathetic coordinator that he is, it is deserving that he gets a cacturne. Finally, it evolves from cacnea, a fat cactus rolled into a ball.

I hate Arceus for a few reasons. First off, it looks a white version of the devil with long wispy hair. Second, it doesn't even make any sense. How in the world does a deformed deer create Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Mesprit, Uxie, Azelf, and the whole pokemon world? Finally, this "pokemon" obviously used cheat codes and/or hacked on his game boy. How is it possible to hand over a colored plate to disgusting looking deer, which is a normal type, and make it change types?

Next up is Weedle  ( I know it will be easy.)

Of all the pokemon, weedle......*sigh*... I'm not even gonna bother looking at the pokedex entry for this one...it's not worth the trip XD

Nonetheless, weedle is extremely frail, with low hp and awful defenses, it will most likely die before being able to counterattack. All of its stats are well below average and it doesn't really have any redeeming factors. Not to mention that its movepool is pretty bad. Even though bug types are pretty weak, weedle here is lowering the bar even more.....I would definitely evolve it....

Totodile, while being the only crocodile Pokémon, does nothing to differ from the run-of-the-mill Water Type Starter. And it has a terrible beginning moveset, the nail on its coffin.

Hoppip has pathetic stats that will make you cringe and it has one of the worst type combos you can ask for: grass/flying. Also it has a terrible moveset. Those are the reasons Hoppip is worthless and weak.

For the most part Noctowl is pretty weak. The only redeeming factor it has is its base 100 Hp and 96 Special defense. It's speed as well as its physical attack and defense are both poor while its special attack is an average 76. 

I don't really like it's normal/flying typing, I feel like it is really over used and thrown together to avoid mono-typing. It has a very lousy move pool with very limited options for special attack.


Altogether, Noctowl is a pretty average, boring normal/flying type Pokemon with nothing particular special about it.

Gliscor is a great Pokémon, stat-wise and everything but its accessibility (or lack thereof) is what ruins it. Gligar was a lack-luster Pokémon, so what did Game Freak have to do to improve it? Give it an evolution. Simple. Gligar was  improved. Or rather, it was supposedto be improved. First off, you've gotta find a Razor Fang which aren't the most common item out there. Next you've got to trade with someone. That's the killer. If you're a completely friendless person (like me), or if you prefer to play your Pokémon games on emulators, you'll have no access to Gliscor and it's whole "improvement" would be completely irrelevant. Gliscor is a good Pokémon, but with no way of obtaining it, it might as well be useless.

Its even outclassed by pachirisu, which was used in a VGC tournament. It's also mediocre in Smash 4.

Stantler is outclassed by tauros, bouflant and many other normal types in it's tier, he also has a more specially oriented movepool for a physical attacker, he's honestly a bad choice for a normal type.

Gengar's mega evolution has a terrible ability and Gengar's defense is very bad. I've seen way better pokemon out there than Gengar.
