I'm sooooo excited because I FINALLY learned what might be causing this issue!  XD  I was literally just posting somewhere a few minutes ago that I needed to keep it in my head so I could help people!

So uh...

Did you accidentally click on the Mednafen player?  The speedup isn't supported on Mednafen and you have to make sure you use the Default plugin.

    Yup, the Mednafen emulator also doesn't have the same save file, so you can actually have 2 files using this as well.
