So which of these controllers feels best in your hands and why?

If I forgot to list your favorite controller please tell me.

The reason why I put keyboard and mouse is for those who likes to play more PC games than console games.

GCN, no doubt. Everything's right there, so simple to use! It's really convenient for games that require quick motions, like Melee or f-zero.

His isn't a class match at all.
GameCube.
It fits in my hands and is really, easy to use, not 50,000 buttons.

The Play station One control is nice and it is my second favorite. But i have to give my favorite a vote. I really liked the SNES control. It had a lot of options for its day and it had the best controls in my opinion. So yeah, SNES gets my vote

1. You forgot the S-Type (Revised XBox controller) and the DualShock (PS1 controller with joysticks).
2. Keyboard and Mouse is not a controller, and if it is, you need add Keyboard only and Mouse Only.
3. Yes, I HAD to say those.

bigger0gamer : 1.What's the difference between S-Type controller compared to normal Xbox controller? And PS2 controller is basically same as the PS1 dualschock controller. 2. As I said before keyboard and mouse was for those who likes to play PC games more than console games. 3. Hope this information helps you to sleep better.

I voted for the NES controller. Nothing is like the original! I just recently posted in a similar thread that for as long as I played the NES as a kid, I only needed ONE controller. I've went through a couple Playstation and Xbox (when I still had it) controllers in my day. So does that mean the NES controller was also the best quality controller? In my opinion, absolutely.

However, the Playstation 3 controller is a very close second for me. I've played the Playstation console longer than any other console I have ever owned. I had a Xbox for a short period, didn't like it. Playstation will always be the number one console for me!

MattyIce : They were selling NES and SNES controllers for PC in one store here in Finland. I was going to boy them but I was short on money. Don't know if they are good as the originals, but it gives some nostalgic feeling when playing the oldies. And I agree with the PS controller, I have never liked Xbox the controller, it isn't very comfortable to me.

Cactuar : Yep, not comfortable by any means. I remember in a similar thread, somebody called the Xbox controller "oversized and clumsy." Pretty much hit the nail on the head with that one. Whenever I'm playing the PS3, the controller just feels like its part of my hand. I can use it way more effectively than the Xbox controller.

I play games here on Vizzed with, guess what, my PS3 controller. Its interesting that you mentioned NES controllers for the PC. I will definitely have to look into that. It would be great if I could get my hands on one for the PC.

I think my favorite controller would have to be the N64. Not only was it the controller I played the most with as a young teen, but it's also the one I seem able to control the most.  Out of the controllers I was able to try:

I wouldn't pick the NES controller because it's much too simple and limits possibilities. I love those games from my childhood, but I find them too hard to mash due to their short height.  (I'm not sure how else to describe it.)

I wouldn't pick XBOX controller because I just can't operate two joysticks.  I have tried so many times, and it's just too far beyond me.  I look like a drunk when attempting to play on the XBOX360.  I know most controllers nowadays have 2 joysticks and I suck at games without any encouragement.  I don't need two sticks to help in that.

And the Wii... my husband only recently got this, and I've only tried it a few times, but I can't really say I'm impressed.  It's simple on a whole different level.  I did, however, think it was interesting to hold it parallel to the floor and use it like a steering wheel....

The PS3 controller is the most comfortable controller that I have ever used, and I have used a lot of controllers for many systems. Having the sticks on the same level is also a nice bonus so that I can be more accurate when controlling characters in a game. Whatever is most comfortable and works the best is my favorite.

Cactuar : The original XBox controller was the "huge and clumsy" controller, the S-Type was the redesign (for the japans market funny enough) that adressed that issue (and looks more like the 360 controller). And I know that there doesn't look like mucb of a difference between DualShock and DualShock 2, but many PS2 games require a DualShock 2 and not just a DualShock so there has to be a difference. And I know you put Keyboard and Mouse in there for PC players, but then to give PC players all there optionsc you still need Keyboard/Mouse only. Also you forgot DualShock 3 (when they put vibratorss back in the PS3 controller).

PS3 has a great controller, I'm used to it's simple and comfortable surface, 3 system buttons, 4 shoulder buttons, 3 movement functions and 4 buttons, so simple and small, and come on who hasn't use theirs as a batarang before?

My favorite controller to use would have to be the game cube controller. It feels just right in my hands and I have always preferred it when ever it came to racing in Mario kart or even fighting in Super Smash Bros. I just like to use it instead of the Wii remote, the Wii remote felt odd to play with including the wheel addition. I am thankful that Nintendo recently included a adapter for you to be able to play with game cube controllers once again. I don't think I'll be using the Wii-U pad at all when it comes to playing the new Super Smash Bros.

I would have to say SNES Controller, I felt comfortable with it, it was colorful, I loved it. (The PAL SNES Controller)
My second would be the Wii Remote, it used to be Gamecube controllers but hell... I forgot all controls for Super Smash Bros because I played with a Wii Remote + Nunchuck
My third one is the Gamecube Controller, I loved the GameCube controller, I just wish my gamecube wasn't broken and Super Mario Sunshine wasn't broken as well.. Oh well

Okay, I know most people here have been saying this, but I must say, I like the N64 controller best. I do like the Xbox 360 one, but I haven't used one in a while, so I HAVE to say N64.

Xbox 360 is my favorite controller now mostly because it is the only one I can remember how it feels on systems I played Most other systems that were listed I never touched them so I could never get a feel if it was comfortable or not.

Its hard to say  which controller I liked the best since I played with almost all of them. But I think Gamecube would be the top one I would use. Its comfortable on the hands and all buttons are easily accessible. SNES would be second since it was the controller I been using for the longest time

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
