Seriously though, that video got me thinking. It was funny and interesting to watch

juuldude : I doubt is has much truth to it. But, Game Theory is definitely a fun channel to watch. And besides, I just had to mess with my fellow Mario fans. XD

Either you didn't watch the end, or missed it. At the end MatPat disproved himself when he said (something along the lines of) "But if it were a peace symbol, it would have two extra pixels here to make the complete circle,". He disproves himself there and on other things he said in the video after that point. (And in a later episode admits that it false)

I've already seen that video . But that channel is hilarious and interesting.

thing1 : I've seen it before, but Game Theory is a channel full of holes. Besides, who needs Logic and Theories in Fantasy worlds? I usually just think Game Theory is trying to rip the fun out of games with Science which is highly guesswork.
Contrasting doesn't mean it has to be the exact different colour. I'd hate it if Mario was orange. I hate the colour orange, and maybe the designer of Mario did too.

(Note: I'm just stating my opinion. I'm not creating any sort of argument or trying to yell at a theory. Sorry if you are angered by this ~~)

also, fail scale of 70 here. x3 Fire Mario doesn't instantly relate to the thingy flag, but give a second to think about another flag, where Mario first originated and was created. This can even be a reason for his original colour, red.


Also, the design of the hat looks nothing alike xD. Neither does the mustache. Bowser isn't a King, he was just a self-proclaimed King. And if Bowser is a King, he's not MARIO'S King, he's someone elses. A lot of games are about overthrowing the King or leader of something, so that's just stupid to be 'related' to each other. And the flag part is stupid too. Flags are a signature as 'oh look, I'm here'. Didn't the Americans place one on the moon? If someone tore it down and placed their own, yeah they must totally be Russian. Also, the Star is the most fitting design for the flag they likely thought of at the time :p

Not forgetting, the Sledge Hammer is probably just one thing they thought of for a powerful ground attack that didn't reach floating or flying enemies.
