Yeah. I've done the impossible. I somehow managed to make it out of the friend zone. My long time friend and fellow CIT Julia is now my girlfriend! I am just so happy right now. I've liked her for years. I can't believe this is really happening right now lol.

Last year she liked my friend and he said that he liked her as well. So, despite my feelings for her, I set them up. My friend then proceeded to break her heart and I was caught in the middle of it. I had her texting me about how she was crying her eyes out at the same time that he was texting me about how he feels like a total a$$. I managed to cheer both of them up, and earn some brownie points with Julia along the way.

So this summer, she has been constantly hinting towards it. She has been hitting me (but not in a mean way, in more of a friendly kind of way), resting her head on my shoulder, hinting towards it in the way she talks, etc. Of course I am about as flirty as a pine cone, so I just kind of ignored it.

So we are at camp, walking with our group of first graders. I am holding one of my camper's hands and Julia is holding his other hand. Then he says that we are getting married and tries to get us to hold hands. I don't fight it, but I don't act too enthusiastic about it either. Julia just laughs. He keeps trying the whole walk over and gets another camper to help him out. My friend Rich (another CIT who knows that I like her) says "maybe they are on to something."

So I am playing Super Mario Bros on my NES and I hear my phone buzz. It's Julia. She says she wants to ask me a question. I say sure. She asks if I think that our first grade campers are right. Long story short, we are going out now

Anyway, I am so happy right now I don't even know what I just wrote lol. Hopefully you can decipher it and understand what I am saying.

Hey, tgags, glad to hear it!

It's hard to find true love, and I hope that this doesn't end badly, but be ready for anything that might happen, TREAD VERY CAREFULLY, I mean, really, you never, never, NEVER know what will happen, and I'd hate to see you heartbroken. Beware of infatuation, make sure she's a good match, and not heartstrung, emotions can ruin everything, and destroy a marriage, let alone relationship exponetially! Keep calm and take it slowly, even then it may blow up, but otherwise, stay committed, take it easy, and it Will work.

It's fun to read the comments and see how people take relationships.  

Good for you that you're enjoying yourself with someone.  A good rule of thumb is: If you're having fun, continue going out with her.  If it becomes more work than fun and you don't enjoy yourself, end it immediately. 

If you do that, things will work.

I hope you two don't end up getting married like one poster said.  That would mean you miss out on talking to and meeting a ton of girls.  There are a lot of good life experiences and dating and socializing with a variety of people of the gender of your choice is one of them.  It can hurt and be painful but it can be exhilarating and fun.

Relationships are good as long as you're honest with the person and you respect her and she respects you.  Once that goes away, get out.  And no one has the right to boss anyone around ever.  You're two separate people and you don't need to ever tell each other what to do.  Save that for the married people.  

Lastly, you owe that 7 year old a candy bar or something for hooking you up.  Nicely played by him.
