I was just thinking about jobs and I realized that I have never seen a thread about what people do for a living before. So I am making one.

What do you do for a living? What feeds you and your family? What is your job?

I am only 15, so I don't have a job yet. I do work at a summer camp, but I am only a counselor in training so I don't get paid.

Well, I was in the Army, but since i have gotten out, I haven't really found anything. So, at this point, nothing, sadly. 

thing1 : Didn't you work at Walmart? Moving boxes or something like that? I remember you saying something about it on Facebook.

tgags123 : I worked at a distribution center for about a month before my managers saw that I was in too much pain to use a standing forklift for 10 hours straight before sending me to the doctor to get a note telling me when I could come back. I am waiting on the actual Wal-Mart store now to get a job there since I got my transferred approved. 

I'm a trained assassin, given the task to specifically hunt down people on Vizzed, starting with tgags123 and ending with Davideo7.

OK, I don't have a job, but I guess the closest thing to that is Student. My "job" of sorts is to study my butt off at UAB.

tgags123 : I have the best job on the planet. It might not seem like it to you, but it is for me. I'm the manager of a McCorvey's Bowling World location. It is basically a pro shop for bowling. I've been working here for about the past 5 years or so, and I absolutely love it! My whole life, I've constantly been in and out of bowling centers, and I wouldn't have it any other way. For anybody who's curious, my shop is inside Suburban Lanes in Decatur, GA. Come on down and see me sometime!

tgags123 : I'm 14 so there aren't many things for me to do but in the Summer I work at a Blue Berry Farm and I babysit and get my Neighbor's mail for them Clean churches and stuff. And next year I might become a CIT at a summer camp

I flip burgers, only because I'm 15 and Collect GameCube/Xbox/Ps2 era Games

Well I'm still working on my first project, so it doesn't feed my family yet but I am the leader of a fledgling video game development team. We're obviously starting Indie (otherwise I wouldn't be the leader already, now would I? Pointless statements ftw!), but we hope to be an official company with at least one console title out within the next five years, as well as eventually reaching AAA status and moving to publishing mostly on consoles and handhelds (currently we're hitting Android/ios and Steam). Want to see me overjoyed? Let Sony offer us an exclusivity deal when that time comes. I'd fanboy so hard... lol Note to self: if that happens, send someone who could keep their composure to negotiate. Probably GenesisJunkie. And as a game developer, the increase in piracy (on games that are still in circulation) and outright theft (download this paid game for free!) really have meaning to me now. I'll save that for another discussion though.


Before that, I did some housekeeping work, and babysitting and groundskeeping on the side. It didn't earn me much, but it kept us eating and paid some bills.

Anyway, I'm part of Eirinn's team. In addition, I am learning how to create websites. That'll supplement my income.

mrfe : Yeah, I thought you might be tempted to fanboy when they mentioned some of their other titles and features *cough*Destiny*cough* (not even sure that particular game interests you, but I'm sure you get the idea). Also, by "*dances like a maniac*" surely you don't mean "convulses"?



And yeah, I'll be producing some other Android/ios games on the side to supplement my income. Mr. F.E.'s post made me realize that I failed to include that in my previous post.

Eirinn : The whole "convulses like a maniac" thing has me laughing so hard right now...in the library...Fortunately, I'm able to control my laughter...but it hurts...lol now I have an image of Murphy convulsing like a maniac.
