Which is better? Taking into account all formats old and new which do you think is the best?
Yet to buy a next Gen console and could use some more information on each before I make my decision!

Clearly Playstation is better. In every generation I believe that the Playstation has been better than the Xbox. Especially the most recent one.'

As for your decision, get a PS4. Xbox One has a camera that is always on, that should be enough to convince you not to get it.

It really depends on what you're looking for but I'll give you a short run down for why I believe someone would get each console:

Xbox One: I feel like you should only get this console if you really love Xbox exclusives or like the additional features it has. I'd say this is more of an entertainment center then a console considering all the things you can do with like watching tv or a pretty cool feature IMO is that you can watch tv while browsing the web or playing a game at the same time at the same screen. Also I'd say that the Kinect is more powerful then the PlayStation 4 camera but that is just me and it wont make a huge difference unless you're really into games with motion controls. However the fact that the kinect 2.0 is bundled with the Xbox One much unlike the PlayStation 4 Camera could in part explain the fact that the Xbox One costs more then the PlayStation 4. Also if you're a fan of using Cloud Storage then that could also be a reason to buy the Xbox One considering it is supposed to almost have unlimited storage. However a thing to keep in mind is that you'd almost be required to get Xbox Live Gold membership to use most features as a lot of apps such as netflix are locked behind a pay wall. You also can't stream games without an Xbox Live Gold Membership.

PlayStation 4: I feel like it's the better option for those who only want a console for gaming for starters the PS4 has the best graphical capabilities of the 2 and generally has better graphics on multiplatform games which will sway some to buy it if you care about graphics. I'd say the PS4 also has a better offer of Indie Games if you're a fan of those one being the much praised Rezogun. Also if you have PlayStation Plus it offers free games at a fairly regular basis, it's cheaper and apps like netflix does not require PlayStation Plus. And while this is a bit opinionated I'd say the PS4 has a better controller while there's some people who like the Xbox One controller there are actually a lot of people who think the Xbox One controller is a step down from the 360 controller due to it's triggers which I have yet heard anyone say about the PS4 controller. And if you have a PS Vita you can stream PS4 games on it which might not be a huge deal but something to keep in mind if you do have a PS Vita. My only major gripe I've found so far about the console is the memory limit. 500 gb might seem like a lot but in truth this will be about enough for maybe 10-20 console games which can be bad if you plan on buying a lot of games. The same does go for the Xbox One to some extent but it has nearly unlimited cloud storage unlike the PS4 which I think has about 3gb and support external storage devices which PlayStation 4 has yet to announce. So if this is a big deal to you then perhaps you should consider waiting until they release a version that has more memory or until it starts supporting external memory devices. There's also something called Gaikai which allows you to stream PS3 games on the PS4 though you'll have to pay an additional fee and with rumors of being able to stream PS1 and PS2 games as well this will make the console backwards compatible in a sense.

All in all I'd say Xbox One is more of an all around entertainment device while the PS4 is more specifically for gaming they're both great consoles however and either one will be a good choice so I'd suggest checking out a review of them to make up your mind incase you still haven't. Also since I can I'm gonna list why I like the Wii U as well.

Wii U: When this console first launched it was pretty disappointing in the amount of games it had however as of late it has been getting a lot better pretty much blowing everyone away at e3 with all the exclusives that are coming up such as Super Smash Bros U, Bayonetta 2, Xenogears Chronicles X, Hyrule Warriors, Yoshi's Wooly Adventure and Nintendo's new IP Splatoon and more. Not to mention the exclusives that are already out like Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 3d World, Pikmin 3 and a lot of others. So if you like Nintendo games you are definitely going to love the Wii U and I'd say at the moment it has the best selection of games out of the 3 however it's 3rd party support have been pretty poor as many games that are coming out for the 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 are not coming out for it and the specs of the PS4 and Xbox One obviously outclasses it. The Wii U gamepad can also be a reason to buy it considering many of the games can be played with the tv turned off not to mention the extra options developers have when developing games for the console. Another thing that might have a big impact when buying it is that it also has backwards compatibility with Wii games and having the virtual console allowing you to play a lot of classic games such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Earthbound, Super Mario Bros 3 etc. Not to mention that since it's been out for a while and facing tough competition from the PS4 and Xbox One this has lead to it being significantly cheaper then the PS4 and Xbox One costing about 299 dollars for the premium edition which comes bundled with Legend of Zelda Windwaker Hd or Nintendo Land depending on which you buy. IMO don't buy the Wii U Basic as the increased memory of the premium edition is definitely worth it.

Wow this is probably one of my longest posts ever... Anyways so yeah this is my 2 cents I hope it helped even though there are probably a lot of reviewers that can give a better opinion on it if you just search for it on youtube. Now I don't actually own any of these consoles this is just from the countless of hours of time I've spent researching them deciding which one to buy myself I'm getting a Wii U first due to already having a ton of good games out and coming up and hopefully a PS4 as well at a later date with no current plans of getting a Xbox One.

PlayStation. With the exception of the PS2 era, the PlayStation systems have always been more powerful pieces of hardware. However, I believe that they have always held the better exclusives. I also believe that the controllers are more comfortable, but those last two pieces are subjective. It really depends on what you are looking for. I would still say PlayStation though. 

Playstaion is always going to be better. Even before the lack of success at the start of the XBOX ONE, Playstation was always way ahead, and then once the ONE came out, Playstation became even better.

The originial was an amazing classic with so many great games, the PS2 was one of the most popular systems in history and the PS3 had some amazing features.

Again, it's always going to be Playstation.

I have to say XBOX. Originally, I was an Sony guy, mainly because of the paid subscription with XBOX. But, then I got into Halo and Gears of War, so I made the switch.

XBOX has more exclusive series, and they get some DLC a month before Sony, so I am going to have to with XBOX on this one.
