I was just looking in the review forum and I noticed that compared to other forums there are many threads that are still open while other forums close threads quickly if nobody replies in them or when they have been around for a long time without anybody replying. So why is that? I saw that even on page 17 there were open threads.

Why close a review? It will remain on the game page forever, so there should always be a way for someone to reply to it. It wouldn't make sense to close them. Also, it isn't like it could get spammy or anything. It is a review.

Also keep in mind that threads get closed when they are 6 months inactive. So if you see a review that is open when it was made a long long time ago, blame some of your members for bumping them up when they are not relevant anymore.

A review isn't like a regular post that may just involve one event or question, or even a game No matter how old a review is, it's really always going to be relevant  as long as the game it mentiones is being sold. As long as the games being sold, there's always going to be a reason to read a review and give feedback. The same may also happens with some walktrhougs as well.
