I always want to train every Pokémon/monster/Robopon/other creatures that you can battle with and train them up but I always start to lose my interest halfway through as you have to train all those beasts as well.

I always have to analyze the best way to max out my stats/money (depending on the game), and do so while beefing up my numbers. For example, I found a way to earn a ton of money in Harvest Moon 3, and I did so non-stop. The problem is, this method is extremely boring, and makes each day last about three times longer than usual, so you get worn out quickly. In fact, in all Harvest Moon games I run an analysis on what crops make the most money, what items that I can forage for will bring in the most money, and basically the fastest ways to get all upgrades, get married quickly, etc.

In RPG's, I grind for hours on end so I can be overpowered and defeat enemies with ease. This too takes the fun out of a game. So basically, I let my perfectionist approach to things suck the fun out of games sometimes. I have to force myself not to do so. In moderation, it's not so bad, in fact it can make games like Harvest Moon even more fun, but I do have to be careful not to go overboard with it.

I  am usually very thorough when playing a game, to the point of sometimes going a little overboard. I want to do every side mission, level up my character/pokémon/monster/whatever as often and as much as I can, complete all missions with high scores etc. There are some things I find easier to give up, especially if I beat the main story line before getting all of the achievements, but normally during gameplay I am more on the perfectionist side. I like to think I do it to maximize my gaming experience, but then there are times when I just lose my nerves over such a tiny detail like not getting a higher score, which leads to me trying again and again and again... that's about when I start second-guessing my 'maximized gaming experience' theory.

The only bad habit I can think of usually only really happens when I'm playing a game that I don't enjoy: I get reckless. If I get to a part that is particularly frustrating, I just get fed up and start rushing...and usually die and have to do it all over again. And again. If there's a game that has gunfire, that's when I have a bad habit of not using cover. Or having patience.

If it has leveling in it I tend to overgrind to get levels, and also ignoring most of the text of what is said that is supposed to help you know where to go which then makes me wonder where.

Rushing. Since I like to play tons of games, watch ceaseless hours of anime, read tons of manga, and still want some time to come on Vizzed, and hang out with my friends off the Internet, I tend to rush through games. It really destroys part of the experience of actually experiencing the games. I am no longer always playing them for many, many hours, but I am playing them just so that I can say that I beat them, and move on and do other things that I want to do. It is becoming quite sad, but I realize my limits, and if I have to sacrifice some of the fun to accomplish everything, so be it.

I'm sort of a perfectionist so in games like fire emblem for example I keep soft resetting to make sure none of my units die in a battle or in Pokemon (though I don't do this as much anymore) I always try to get a pokemon with the perfect nature this can naturally lead me to getting bored after a while if it doesn't work out like I want it to.

If I had one it would be acting like my characters a god if I go on kill streak/killing spree/land a few headshots without aiming much. Example of the first would be Borderlands in online play. I don't realize how much damage other people are dealing and helping to keep me alive until I burst into the next room and get killed in a few seconds. Example of the second would be any MOBA (games like DOTA, LoL, Dawngate). I mostly play LoL and my favorite characters are ones like Vi, Warwick, Vladimir, that kind of thing. So when I snowball after stealing some kills early game I tend to... go neck deep because I have massive damage output. Usually I can kill or damage the enemy player(s) enough so they run away but I also get killed a lot doing this. I used to play a game called Metroid Prime Hunters a lot with my neighbor before he moved. I was that annoying person who sniped everyone from across the map and made it look easy. Gotta love one hitting people from across the map and being unable to land a hit when their in front of you.

In Final Fantasy games, I use the Cure spell and potions way too much. I guess I'm really paranoid. Speaking of which, when I'm nervous, I tend to use a lot of torches in caves in Minecraft. And in Final Fantasy 7, I always listen to the entire victory fanfare. It's so damn catchy /

A habit I have is never using healing items in RPGs like Pokémon, Paper Mario, and even Legend of Zelda. For some reason, I do not want to use them, because I think I'll have better use for them later on or something. But of course, then I never use them. The few times I use them, later on I feel like that would have been a better place to use it.

When I'm playing games, I tend to get "overconfident" while playing, and I either die, or lose.

In RPG's, like golden sun is a huge offender to this, I have to check EVERYTHING seeing if there's a hidden item somewhere. It really breaks the flow of the game, but at least I have all the cookies

My bad habits in video game:
1- In RPG: play the game till half of it then stop for one month then resume, and that's where I say "What am I supposed to do next?".
2- Fighting/platformers/actions games: when it almost seems that I have to do only one move to finish the level/boss, I do it recklessly so I end up mostly losing at that point.
3- All games: I tend to overpraise games that everybody hates (at least in my country).

In visual novel games I play the game all the way through to the end non stop especially games like Phoenix Wright where I couldn't turn my DS off even when it was almost out of battery I would just put the charger in and play. Handheld games I will play for a few hours then forget about it for a few days then play it for a while again and forget about it for a few days rinse and repeat. Sonic games. Use the boost button all the time and die though now I am much better at them as I don't use the boost button all that much but I am really tempted to do so as I love seeing Sonic run fast.

My bad habit in video games is pressing the A button to jump and not die (yes I am dead serious I did this plenty of times before). In New Super Mario Bros. when I was playing with a friend I completely forgot that the switch at the end destroys the bridge and I didn't press the Jump button. You'd think I would get over the bad habit by now but nope.

I would probably have to say not wanting to change when I knew I need to change something in order to be able to move on. Like, if I need to change a Fire Pokemon to something else against a water type, I won't do it. I will try to win against that Water Pokemon with my Fire Pokemon.
