"Accidentally"? If you know you're making it, then it IS theft.

I once, totally by accident, forgot to pay a box of chicken thighs. I very honestly forgot they were there and realized it when I got home and look at the receipt. It also happens here and there that I forget about the ginger or turnips I have because they're hidden under my grocery bags (again, by accident).

I have went to fast food restaurants and ordered a bunch of stuff. Sometimes they will give me extra things that I didn't order. I don't go back and return it, especially since I know they will be thrown in the trash and when I'm home (15 minutes from town). I feel bad about it, some. However, they cheat me out of my order other times... lol. 

I have accidentally stolen things before but I always seem to catch it when loading the car up.  So I quickly either pay for it or return it.  Now my niece on the other hand I've seen her munching in the back on something I knew we didn't get.  I then have who ever is driving at the time turn around so I can go pay for it....  She's only done it twice but I have had to punish her for doing such things.

I've "accidentally" stole a lot of things from my brother.
Like a ball, a few dollar bills, etc.
I'd be sorry if he didn't do the same to me.

I "accidentally" stole some books from a school. I didn't mean it, but I have a terrible memory, and this happens. The last day of school, and I forgot to return the books. Sometimes I wish I had a better memory.

Some how, I have like three copies of the same book from my old school. The weird thing is though is this was part of a class set. How come nobody noticed? That's weird.

I don't recall accidentally stealing anything, but I've stolen things many times without knowing better.

For example, when I was Idon'tevenknowhowmany years old, I found a toy car laying in a parking lot (how fitting. ) and I picked it up although I realized it wasn't mine.

It's partially my parents' fault because after that they said, "Finders, keepers!" Lol I'm lucky they didn't keep doing that or I'd still be stealing things

play4fun : I know what the original post said and although I found it kinda creepy I also found it funny afterwards to be honest but did you accidentally steal anything else besides that?

F. Starr : Sounds you're very honest I guess. But don't worry, all of us make mistakes or don't tell the truth sometimes. It sounds like you have a good friend and a nice mom, otherwise I think they would've been angry at you.

Bintsy : You couldn't have returned the food I think but it's good that you returned the money. If it had been like 5 cents than it wasn't that worse but 20 dollars is a somewhat big amount.

I once lost a Nintendo DS cartridge and thought that either it was sucked up by the vaccuum cleaner or it was at my little brother his room (which was a huge mess) but a half year after I lost it my little brother found it back in my room between some books. I remembered that I myself had put it there and felt like huge fool

janus : That's a good point you have there janus, but then again not everybody knows about it because your memory might be foggy. If you forget about the ginger and the turnips why not put them on top of your bag? 

matthalou : Yeah, if they are going to throw it away if you don't eat it you might as well eat if when you're still hungry. I myself don't go to fastfood restaurants a lot so I've never experienced something like this.

Well, if it was on the parking lot and nobody was nearby it I guess somebody either wanted to get rid of it or they lost it but it would be hard to trace back, so it's not that bad I think. I once took a random football home with me that I found in the woods.

vanelan : As you might know already, the hacker from about two weeks ago used play4fun his account to move my thread from a trusted+ forum and he/she stickied it here, so should it be moved back? I don't mind it being here but if you see a problem with it (as you've already unstickied it) then you may move it back.

I was with one of my young brothers. So basically, I've had to show the good example. But mistakes were made, sadly. I was not proud of what I've done and I still feel ashamed of that. I didn't steal anything after this incident but I can take bad decisions and make horrible mistakes. I'm a bad person sometimes

juuldude : I go to a different school now. However, they don't even know they're missing because they still have my parents phone number. If they knew they would've called them. I am trying to sneakily place it in my little brothers backpack or something though.

I remember back in the 2nd grade, my school was selling Yo-Yos.  I wanted a Yo-Yo so saw some money on the cabinet and took it without question.  When I cam home, I found out it was my dad's money and I got in big trouble.  It's something I feel bad doing look back at it now.
