Lots of things have gone on over the past 2 weeks, I'll go over those after I remind everyone of the current and final contest. My next update thread might come in 1-2 weeks compared to 2-3 weeks but we'll see.

I've been working on a Pokemon World on the Vizzed Minecraft Server for the past few weeks now which is based on the Kanto Region of Pokemon Red, Blue, Fire Red, and Leaf Green. It'll be almost perfectly to scale and have almost everything that the games have, including almost all of the original locations, NPCs and hopefully even all of the original Pokemon (using Pixelmon). I've created a new city in the primary world of the Vizzed Minecraft Server called 'Megod City'. It's to the far North of the world, just past Snow's Jungle. You can find a teleport to it from downstairs of the Vizzed Ville Town Square but it costs 10 MViz to go there but it's free to teleport back (eventually I'll expand the subway station to go there).

This is a huge city with 1024 lots which is a lot compared to the island cities which had less than 100 lots. All of the lots in Megod City are 16x16 blocks and they only cost 500 MViz each. You wont be able to dig very deep in this city unfortunately since bedrock is only like 5 blocks down but you can build as high as you want. Also, you may claim as many lots as you want (and you can remove the roads that go through your lots) but be sure to put them to use because if you fail to do so, then I'll resell your lots to someone else.

I've done some construction of the downstairs of the Town Square within Vizzed Ville. I've opened it up a bit to make it easier to navigate and I've added a teleport to 'The End' and a teleport to 'Megod City'. With the construction I've done, there's plenty of room for more teleports so keep your eyes open for new teleports in the upcoming weeks (such as one to the Pokemon world and another same world teleport). Here's a screenshot of the changes:




This isn't a major update but I've added another view to the Interactive Map of the main world (Vizzed Ville). In the screenshots below, you'll see a comparison of the old view and the new view. The new view will basically let you see structures that were normally hidden behind other structures.

Davideo7 : I don't think it's that people don't care, its that they read the recap for what has happened and don't reply, just think, what is there really to reply? And some of the reply worthy things are bettered replyed in the linked threads. Though I wouldn't be surprised if there were people wbho don't care about the recap.

skippercapt : For now it'll be just the map, textures, audio and NPC but if I can get Pixelmon installed, then it'll include that as well.

Davideo7 : I didn't expect you to do them forever (or even this long, only 'til the server started to come along). And how'd you expect it to pay off? It helps the reader to quickly catch up, the only help it gave you was extra awarfeness of the server, which you got plenty of now.

bigger0gamer : There have been over 325 users who have used the Vizzed Minecraft Server, the recap threads were meant to update those who haven't used it in a while on everything new with the intent of reminding users to use it more often.

Davideo7 : Yes, thats what a recap is. I said there is no payoff to the person who makes the recaps. (And you've got plenty of traffic to the server and it's very known that it exists on the site, the little payoff you would get are already gotton.) Though an idea for you, if you and all the other mods are tired of making recaps, make a staff position of it.

Davideo7 : Better point, but don't forget about the web veiwer thingymabob (I don't know what to call it). That could be used to make screenshots from the air, and as some people may not be aware of some things, you would just have to find some one who is on often and keeps up with what is happening, then mods could just reveiw the recap, taking less of the mods time.

This had been a pretty good series of weeks, I like the new city and even though it is small, the new feature to the map is going to be a bit helpful to those who use it a lot. (Like me) I really like the new layout of the subway area, thats actually my favorite new thing, it looks really cool this way.

Hpe to see many more new features in the future.

Sure. Here are a few of my thoughts.

IgorBird122 :

We have the new Devil's Nightmare Speedrun Competition with a prize of 12,500 Viz or mViz. Just for participating, there is a payout of 1,000 Viz or mViz. Hyper-link to thread. Deadline is August 1st, and it's already started.

EideticMemory : and I are starting up a new world as well. It's entitled "Phemcee's mini-game heaven". So far, just the portal island is finished (or at least it's main structure is finished, and I've almost finished a time-passing minigame as well for it), but you could still show that off if you want to give a bit of a preview of the world. The villages are only around until we need the space, they aren't actually part of any of the minigames. I think EM was going to make a time-lapse video for the creation of said island, but I don't think it's up yet. You might be interested in talking to him about when that will be up, as it could be a neat addition to the update if you're going to talk about this new world. It will host a plethora of mini-games.

Hmm... trying to think of what else...
