This is James here. I do not know where to post it, so someone please summon the local mods if this isn't the right place.
Today, 10 June 2014, I woke up at 5 Am 30. I look to the window (I actually didn't sleep, there were to many lightnings so I couldn't sleep.)
When looking to the window, I was thinking 'These clouds.. They look amazing...' then I started crying... Well, I just head some tears.
When I go outside, I had again tears.
Then I go onto Chat Room on Vizzed. Yeah... lol
But why did I cry? When I was on school, the sixth class (Last class) of Basic School, I did not try my best. I never did my homework, I didn't study, I did NOT do my best And I passed the class.
Now, the next year I'm doing school at home. Alright, right now I'm doing home at school. I'm learning very bad.
However, when I visited the school on 24 March 2014, I was sad. Man, when I was in the class I almost cried.
Now, it's been a while since I wanted to tell my parents something...
I want to redo the sixth class of Basic School. Why?
I did not do my best and I passed, the others tried their best to pass... Comparing me to the others, it is incredibly unfair that I passed for the others.
A bit later, Or much later, 17 March (Yes, before I visited School), I found out it was my fault, I was so lazy, I played a lot of games... I didn't even want to do my homework.
I have tried to tell my parents that I wanna redo the class multiple times, problem is, I am VERY SCARED that they say no.
I am 13 years, and I just can't take it on anymore...
It annoys me so much how I was previous year...
And I can't even tell them what I want...
I really need talking advice... Waiting for the right timing is really bad I think. There is no right timing.

Well jms....I did say to tell your parents...we all get scared at one point because we don't want to get shouted at. If you really want to re do your exams to get good grades, then you have to them no matter how scared you are. I know how you feel. Coming from me its not easy to tell my mother what I want, because I feel she would say no. But I say to myself I have to try for the good of it. Its not so easy being brave now is it? jms you need to make that step as you can't be scared your whole life. There will be many more things like this you will be facing. And it would be much more worse. Start with your parents so try ok? Like I said trying is better than nothing. And what if they say no? That would mean you work much more harder then you did for your exams. You have to start from somewhere so start with your parents ok? Its not an easy thing to do, but you have to make it a working progress for you in a way....

If you passed "Basic School" without much effort, that might be just a testament to how easy the class is for you and probably indicates that it's waaayy too easy for you and that you need to go to the advanced section. Unless you cheated your way through the grade, in which case repeating it might be helpful.

About your parents, just ask.

If they say no, they say no. If you explain what it means to you, they might change their mind. Or they may even give you an explanation that changes yours. Waiting around anxiously doesn't seem to be doing anything for you, so I recommend action.

First thing's first, why are you afraid of your parents saying no?

From what I can tell, you truly do want to retake the class. The only thing that is holding you back, however, is you not telling your parents. If that's the case, then we need to figure out why you're very afraid of them rejecting the idea.

Problem is: Right now, I know I would not pass the first class of Middle School, it's been a year that my learning progression was sooo bad, and I forgot a lot of stuff...

It was only with the very last class, I just couldn't get stuff finished because I was lazy, so yeah...

I am normally not nervous, at school I could tell stuff pretty easily, but because I didn't have irl Social Activity (only 10 times, but the 7 first ones does not count, and it was 8 times swimming, that's it, and I mean Social Activity outside family, then again, another one does again not count because once she was there it started raining very hard, and the second time I was bored, my sister was coming with me, I'm not allowed to go outside alone) for like 1 year. 1 year without talking to people irl! If I did talk to peoples irl sure the thread wasn't here...

How does not having social interaction with other people outside your family make you afraid of your parents saying no to retaking your class?

You have to at least try. Me I try to be sociable when I can jms. You can't do this for all of your lifetime you know. You need to change somethings in order to better yourself in life.

Okay, if you're too nervous to ask your parents directly, then you can try an indirect approach. Write down why you want to retake the class and how you feel on a piece of paper, then leave it somewhere where your parents can find it. I recommend that you ask them directly, but if time is limited, then this is an alternative.

In the event that your parents say no, then take all this as a learning experience. It feels awful, right? Use that feeling to remind yourself to work hard for future classes.

Mistress is right. That's the only way that your message can get across, if you find it hard to speak up. Writing down your words on paper, can help in a way. As not all people can voice out what they want. And what they are afraid of....

The best advice I can give is to tell your parents how you feel. They cannot help you unless they know what you are thinking and feeling. Maybe then you can have a nice conversation about where you are and what your reasons are for wanting to re-do 6th grade. There's nothing wrong with staying back a year.

You never want to look back on your life and have regrets about things you COULD have done but DIDN'T because you didn't want to have a difficult conversation.

So yeah, I do know I am less nervous when I'm relaxed, so if there are any tips of being relaxed, it would probably help me.

Hmm....how about music or the things you enjoy doing? Doesn't that normally relax you? If so, I suggest you get yourself relaxed before you tell your parents. So the way you talk with them would not make you so nervous. And then what you would say will flow. How does that sound?

Music does a bit relax me, Games not for that topic, books... It does relax me sometimes, and for some reason, learning Japanese relaxes me a bit too... lol

Because I was really scared, I kinda.. Hid it, but he will find out.. He' s awake... I'M SCARED...
