Alright, multiple times have I tried to post something on the board, and it tells me I didn't enter an existing username, or something along those lines, and deletes what I was writing. I normally wouldn't have a problem with this, since most of the things I post can be easily rewritten, but I just lost a 2000 word review of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and I am absurdly annoyed. I want to know what causes this problem, and how I can prevent it in the future.

Probably, it took you so long to write that it counted you as logged out (over 15 mins). To counter this, simply refresh another page before you submit your threads/posts.

For example - let's say I was writing a walkthrough. I wrote it using vizzed, and it took longer than 15 minutes. If I don't open vizzed in a new tab, and refresh it (NOT the tab with your thread/post), then it will delete all my work.

Of course, it's smart to simply write it out in a program such as microsoft word or notepad or something. That way you're safe from any mishaps, so long as you're saving it.

Alright, thanks for the idea, and thanks for letting me know of the logging off thing. I actually was unaware it counted you as logged off if you sat idle for 15 minutes, so I will stay wary of that.

Yeah the best thing to do is to work on it using a different program and then transfer it into your new vizzed post. Don't worry this has happened to me a number of times, either I press the back or backspace by accident and all my work ends up deleted or the page simply times out after 15 minutes. Or if you want to be safe, you should just copy and paste it to your clipboard that way if anything happens, you still have it. Hopefully this helps and you don't have to worry about losing your work any more.

I recommend Google Drive for saving it as you type. That way you don't have to worry about losing the file if your computer has problems and you don't even have to save. It saves automatically every few seconds.

You just have to create a document in there and that can be done through a single tab in your browser. It's just a simple and effective solution.

This way you have your information in case the site has a hiccup or your computer has an issue...etc that way all your work isn't lost.
