Hello people of the Vizzed community!

Namco is also popular for some games such as Dragon Quest, Tekken, and Soul Calibur. The most popular games from Namco are known to be the Tales series. This series are usually known to involve with time, saving the world, or something that describes the title of the game.

The Tales series have lots of games that are known for their linear motion battle system. In a typical Tales game, one can control a character by setting it to auto, semi-auto, or manual which sets one to attack an enemy target. One can also use many types of moves and options in a battle. Also there are many other features such as summon spirits, cooking, and skits which makes the series very unique compared to others. The soundtracks are very awesome composed by great composers!

What is your favorite Tales game out of the whole series?

I play all the tales games so far and my favorite is tales of abyss and a close second is tales of xillia

My favorite is Tales of Xillia. My second favorite is Tales of Symphonia Chronicles (the original, I have yet to play the second one on this disc). This is primarily because I have only played the two of these, but they are great games. Tales of Xillia has a great dialogue, and the gameplay has been vastly improved (as I could tell when I set forth into adventuring Tales of Symphonia Chronicles). The story is also great. I still have to beat it, but it's been good to me so far. The characters are generally likable, and I do not see many negatives. My biggest problem with Xillia is that I am not given the option for the Japanese voices, which is a huge let-down for me, but I still enjoy it. Tales of Symphonia Chronicles does have that over Xillia, but it is not a deal breaker. I hope to be able to enjoy the second Symphonia game eventually, and after that, I will try to play Innocence, or something. 

ghostfishy : My favorite tales game was Tales of Vesperia because of the intriguing cast of characters and story. Also it had a big world map.

ghostfishy : Your are soo mean for making a thread that makes me have to choose 1 game from my favorite game series. Btw it's Hearts not just Heart. Right now my favorite is Innocence because it was a great storyline funny characters fun game=play and battles. and the cut-scenes were the best part of the game and the music was beautiful. in second place it would have to be Zestria of Graces or maybe Xillia 2

ghostfishy : So I've heard that the second was not has vast in scope as the first from multiple people now... Interesting. Although it does seem to improve aesthetically-speaking though. More akin to Xillia. I have not managed to play Tales of Phantasia. The odds are, I probably will not get the chance. I cannot afford to spend any more money, and I also have a gigantic backlog of games to go through. I literally have at least 15 games in my collection that I have not even beaten the main storyline for. It is pretty sad, I know, but it happens when you have a very serious gaming attachment.

damn, been putting off these series for so long that I bought Tales of Xillia out of pure boredom
still in the beginning of it but dang i need to kick my own butt for not playing the series sooner

I only played a bit of tales of phantasia which would have been not bad if the combat system was a bit better and the RPG number 1 problem of random unavoidable battles is everywhere in this game like the FF games.

My favorite Tales game would have to be Tales of Vesperia. The story and characters are very good. The main character Yuri Lowell really gets you more interested in the story and the gameplay is fairly good. Yuri and Flynn's rivalry / friendship is very interesting and epic.
