Some of you may know that I have Epilepsy, You may also know that it's not light sensitive.. Though flashing images wil give me migraines and make me feel unwell. I got diagnosed with this when i was 17, When i was essentially in training to become a police officer. Great timing

I have now been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy.. Or in Lamens terms my muscles are slowly becoming weaker and degenerating.. The doctors diagnosed me with this after much contemplation and going through every other minor medical problem it could be... Ironically i found that this was a problem that my Dad suffered from.. (I've never spoke to my dad, hence why i didn't guess before) So now i've been advised to essentially stop doing the one thing i've truly enjoyed for the last 8 years which is dodgeball...

It just seems that whenever i finally decide or enjoy things ... my genetics are there to screw me over....

I just wanted to share this as it's been rather upsetting for the last 7 days...

I actually knew someone with a similar issue. He wasn't very active much so it probably sucks more for you.

I don't know much about this but it sucks that you can't do what you want. Is there any treatment given?

First off muffin said to post here to tell him his life sucks in chat but I won't.

But anyways since I fail in the medical field is there anything you can do to counter the problem? If it can't that sucks since that is going to eventually start causing where you can hardly do anything except maybe bare minimum stuff which won't be fun. Also how often did you go/play dodge ball matches?

Well i haven't really discussed anything with my doctor yet so i don't really know...

i used to play go training 3 times a week and play in tournaments pretty much every weekend all over the uk
