...You know guys? Ever since i did my 8th review of "Pokemon Reviews" And ever since i decided to take these seriously,There is just some Pokemon that i have always dreaded to review.Pokemon that i have always tried to stay clear of,And never even hint of possibly reviewing them.

However..Eventually.I had to concede,And review some of them.I reviewed Darkrai,Mewtwo,Charizard.Alot of the big fan favorites.But i honestly hate reviewing them.Why? Because they have a rather big fanbase.And if i give it a bad review...You know what happens next.And guys,This is one of those pokemon.Today i am reviewing Lucario,One of the most popular Pokemon to ever come out of gen 4.And it is still loved to this day.

So it looks like today is the day i review this Legendar-...Oh yeah its not a legendary.Oh well,Might as well be.So lets say we get this over with shall we?

Relinquish: Men...And Seras! Lets finish this.

Seras: You know you don't have to say "...And Seras!" Every single time you do that right?

Relinquish: Pfft,Odd comedy always works.Just look at family guy.

Alright.lets see what Lucario can throw at us- Oh my god it has alot of starting moves.Come on! Lets just go over these.

Extremespeed
Dragon Pulse
Close Combat
Aura Sphere
Foresight
Quick Attack
Detect
Metal claw

8...8 moves.Well,Odds are your not going to get a lucario at level 1 anyway,As i am using mods to do my testing.But i suppose we need to talk about these anyway.Extreme speed is very good.Dragon Pulse is very good.Close Combat is awesome. Aura Sphere is good,But a bit overated.Foresight blows.Quick attack sucks.Detect is situation oriented.And metal claw is okay.DONE!

Counter,6: Counter is Situation oriented.Aka,Its going to be effective at specific times,That may not come around often.I Do not like it.And it does not work with a Pokemon as aggressive as Lucario.

Feint,11: This move is once again "Situation oriented" That is all i need to say..Done.

Power up Punch,15: Finally! Something effective.Power up punch does a healthy physical damage of 40 and has 100% accuracy.And also,it raises your attack stat by 1 stage.That is awesome.And i highly suggest you take it.

Sword Dance,19: Oh yes...This move.One of the most well known moves in the competitive community.This move raises your attack stat by 2 stages...It may sounds generic,But trust me.It is awesome.

Metal sound,24: This move granted,Is a good move.But it does not compliment Lucarios attack method.Lucario is a quick and heavy hitter who will boost his own attack,Rather than lowering his targets defense.Metal sound will lower the targets special defense by 2 stages.But why would i do that when i have sword dance..?

Bone Rush,29:No...This does not work,Bone rush is,I guess a decent move.But once again,It does not work with Lucario's play style.

Quick Guard,33:This move could actually work in team battles,But not when lucario is fighting alone.Lucario is fast enough to not have to worry about priority moves,So i did not really find this useful.Granted,It COULD,Work if who had a Pokemon fighting alongside lucario,Who could also use Quick Guard.

Me First,37:...Once again,And i hate being a broken record "DOES NOT WORK WITH LUCARIOS PLAY STYLE" it just does not work,There is almost nothing left to say,You do not need this.AT ALL! Just keep Sword Dance.
(Side note At level 42 you get Aura Sphere,However.I am assuming that you already have Aura Sphere from your starting movese,If you have not.Well then i recommend it,And it is awesome.)

Calm Mind,47: This move..Does not work,Why? Because Lucario is a physical attacker.AKA,NOT WORTH PICKING UP,Come on Lucario.I may just be to hard on you,But you know you can do better than this.And you can do some decent special attack damage,But it's not really in your nature.

Heal Pulse,51:..What...The..Fu-

Death the kid: *Covers my mouth* Frick..What the Frick.

(The last 3 moves in Lucarios set are,In order: Close Combat,Dragon pulse,And extreme speed.You already know my thoughts on them.)

Stats

Hp,70: A bit weak.But still,It suffices.

Attack,110: YES! Lucarios signature stat,It's attack.This is the trademark of this Pokemon.But it is so powerful.This stat gets a A+ From me.

Defense,70:..Same thing as health..lazy.

Sp.Atk,115: Wait what...Why is this stat so high? I mean,Can't we just switch this stat with the attack stat.that would be ALOT better,Still as it stands.This is good.

Sp.Def,70: Okay,Maybe i am being a bit to harsh on the defense and special Def stats.But..I don't know why,But i just don't like this,I can't explain why.But something about this stat just turns me off.Something about it is not right.Still,I guess its okay.

Speed,90:This is awesome,I was able to blow away everything i came across,Because High attack stat + High Speed stat=Great thing going for it,This is possibly the greatest thing about Lucario.

Lucario has 3 weaknesses.Fighting,Ground,And fire.And all of those have counters that are so easy to find Mr.Magoo get em.

Abilities

For primary abilities,You have 2 options.

Steadfast: This will increase your speed stat by 1 stage if you flinch,Pretty decent actually.And this situation did happen to me a couple of times.This is pretty alright.

Inner Focus: This move will prevent you from flinching..Oh dear.I knew from the start that this comparison was going to be tough.And honestly,The ability you prefer will come down to personal preference.Nothing more.I personally chose Inner focus.As lucario is powerful enough.

Now we have our hidden ability,AKA "Secret Technique! <Insert random Jutsu here>"

Justified: This will raise your attack stat by 1 stage,If your hit with a dark type move.Awesome,Situation oriented,But awesome.

Tms and Hms

Close Combat
Sword Dance
Stone Edge

Earthquake: This is your main attack move.In my opinion,Earthquake is a Perfect move.It has little to no drawback.

Close Combat: This Move will blow away most targets.Just use it for a "big ole meaty target"

Sword Dance:Use this move when you can.Be warned, over use will lead to your death.

Stone Edge:"Anti Aircraft Online"

Rivals Gym & Elite 4

Rivals:You will blow away your rival,Simple.Done.You can't possibly loose if you level this thing right.

Gym: You will have some problems..Most of the time,But you will pull through.Just remember,This is not easy mode.

Elite 4: This Pokemon is just for the elite 4.Literally.Lucario is a perfect example of a Pokemon that can make it to the elite 4,And i highly encourage that you take him/her there.

Final thoughts

You know guys? I am not going to lie.This Pokemon is freaking awesome.Granted it is not a masterpiece,But its got alot of good things going for it

Moveset is actually rather dull,However the stats make up for it.Especially the attack stat and speed stat,I have to say those are most likely the greatest things about this Pokemon.It has a Wide range of tms and hms.And it has options to be something other than an aggressive attacker if you EV train it right,And give it the right tms.And it can easily blow away the a.i,Its almost easy mode if your a pro.

Sure it does have some kinks,Such as the moveset.And there are some odd stat choices.But i still say this is a good Pokemon,In fact..No.its great,Yeah it really is.I hate to say it but..its just great.I have little to no gripes with this Pokemon,And i highly recommend it (If you can get your hands on it)

This leads me to giving Lucario a final rating of-

Final rating: 4.1/5
And to go get one as soon as possible.And finally.Screw it,I give lucario the Agent Of Awesomeness Badge,A rating for only my elites,And for Pokemon to important to ignore.And let's face it,You will never be able to ignore this Pokemon because of it's...Rather insane fanbase.

For alternate Pokemon recommendations,I point you towards.

Absol: As much as i hate to say it...Yeah,Absol is basically a dark version of Lucario.

Heracross: Heracross is one of my favorite Pokemon,And he has a high chance of being in my elites (If ?i ever bother to review it)

Tyranitar: Some may question why i put this Pokemon on my recommendations.And to be honest i do to,But for some
reason.When i was testing Lucario,I got a similar vibe from the Pokemon that reminded me a bit of when i tested Tyranitar.So go ahead and get this guy to.

relinquish022 : I honestly find special lucario sets way more dangerous.
A physical one mainly relies on close combat and extreme speed. Easily countered by ghost types. A special one gets way more kinds of moves, going from dragon pulse to dark pulse, to STAB flash cannon and aura sphere. I'd honestly prefer it if they'd cut his attack and give it to HP or defensive stats.

Mecha Leo : I was referring more to the "Extra" section, but now that you mention you have a point, the way a lot of it is written could use a lot of work, not to mention that this entire post in general is rather pointless as there are plenty of reviews explaining the stats of this Pokemon already, another one serves little real purpose on this site.

relinquish022 : I have always considered spam to be anything that is pretty much off topic or that follows a few different guide lines, your extras section is an example of this, it belongs elsewhere, another fine example is the small text under your pictures, the picture itself is fine but the words are considered spam and probably have to go.
