You might read through this thread. I think Internet Explorer that is packaged with 8 and the RGR Plugin might not like each other.

I don't have a new enough computer to have Windows 8, so this is about all the advice I can offer. Good luck!

I'm using Chrome to get online 
it's the same way I was playing on the old dell laptop I had and didn't have these issues.
i'm also unable to dbl click to the remote control menu and use my logitech remote 
thx though i'll look into ie8 , see if it is blocking something even if i'm using Chrome

I've had similar issues with chrome in the past, don't remember exactly what the issue was, so I just use firefox to play games.  But I use chrome the other 90% of the time, love it.
