I just now beat Megaman X, it took about 4 hours to beat (I was playing on and off). Upon beating the game I looked back and thought what was the hardest boss, I'd have to say the Boss that was a Chameleon and gave you the chameleon sting ability. So now that you know which boss was the hardest boss in my opinion,

i am going to say Vile/Vava. DARN HE IS HARD! i had troubles with him in mega man X1. and also the first stage boss from mega man X2, i want to say Dynamo from megaman X5 is tough but I NEVER TRIED MEGA MAN X5.

Well honestly, a few of the bosses in this game are pretty close to each other in terms of difficulty, but I have to go with the final boss. Sigma's second form was a powerful enemy who takes a crapload of hits before he dies, and deals a huge amount of damage per hit. He is a hard opponent to beat, especially if all of your SubTanks are empty.

The hardest Maverick in Mega Man X has to be Boomer Kuwanger if you do not have his weakness, as he likes to teleport everywhere and hit you while he is doing that. The hardest boss in general though is Sigma.

I think the hardest boss is Storm Eagle because it is hard to dodge him so you do not take damage, and it is hard to do if you do not have the dash boots.

This is mainly due to the fact that I haven't played the game using weaknesses since a year ago, and each of the bosses can still provide a decent challenge if you don't know what you are doing. Anyway, Boomerang Kuwanger is just a difficult boss. Hard to avoid, somewhat hard to hit, and you better have a supply company for Homing Torpedo Ammo on speed dial.

I would agree the hardest of the main robots was Boomerang Kuwanger. I got killed by him a lot. I will say the first time I played the game I thought just about all of the bosses were hard. Then I learned how to get the boots and other armor and it made it much easier.
