I recently got an ATI Radeon X1600 Pro 512mb graphics card and tried to install it onto my computer, but when I boot up the computer with the card installed, there's no signal to my monitor nor does my computer shows signs of loading. Any suggestions?

Current configuration:
Gigabyte 8I8265GME-775 motherboard
Pentium 4 HT 3.2 GHz
2 GB ram
500 watt PSU

Try plugging the monitor into your motherboard's video out (if it has one) while leaving the video card plugged in.

Yikes, a Radeon X1600? That's some dated stuff, man. I'm going to assume you bought it used, then. Are you sure that the card works?

Take the video card out and re-enable your motherboard's onboard video, or if need be, use a substitute video card for the time being. If your computer still boots up, see if you can download the latest drivers for the X1600.

It's pretty likely that card is fried, though. You can get a much newer low-end card for less than $40 on Newegg.

Zurenriri : My computer's able to boot up with the onbaord video. Is it possible that my bios is the issue?

No, probably not. If your BIOS was messed up, you wouldn't be able to boot into Windows at all.

Try downloading drivers for the X1600, although I'm not sure if it will let you install them without the card attached, but you can try. If that works, power down your computer, put the X1600 back in, and then try to boot into Windows. If it still doesn't work, then the card is either fried or incompatible with your machine.
