I was browsing and I found this video posted a little over a month ago. Basically this guy gives a homeless man who lives near him a losing lottery ticket. However the clerk was in on this and they made it seem like he won $1000. He got his money and I thought it was sweet and inspired.

I really think highly of people who sacrifice their time and money to help homeless people. I'm not talking about people who act homeless for the money, but the actual homeless people. I was really impressed with Break's 'Prank it Forward' April Fools Day events. Helping homeless people, or people in hard spots financially, is a really great thing to do. I applaud these guys, despite my aversion to gambling.

I don't often trust videos any more because I think lots of them are staged. However, I think the idea of this is very kind indeed. It's nice to think that there are still people out there who care and who are giving.  I just hope the homeless man had done all he can to get out of his situation and wasn't just bumming the streets due to laziness or apathy.

wow, I watched it and I can't believe what some of these people do for others. I loved the ending of the video right before they left the store, you could clearly see how happy he was.

I think this is one of the nicest things that I have ever seen. I think this should be an inspiration to others to help homeless people through charities because it is safer to do that. I also think that was something that should be duplicated at other stores that sell lottery tickets.

I also checked out the fundraising thing and it seems that the goal was 20.000 dollars but it became even more than 40.000 dollars! I really love this video and I really love Erik and Rahat (the film producer) and I'm so happy that he did something so generous.

There was another update on the fundraiser they had. They actually managed to get him a home with 1 years rent paid.
