What is the worst that you have procrastinated on one assignment? Last semester, I began my sociology paper the day before it was due, about a month after it was assigned. What was the worst you have procrastinated? Have you ever began a paper after it was due? Share your stories.

I didn't do this in high school, but I definitely did it in college and even now as an adult.  In college, it was really not something I did often though... too many professors were way too strict for such a thing.  They'd assign a big project and never mention it again.... not even on the day it was due. If you didn't remember yourself and hand it in, that was just too bad.

However, especially this year, I've been doing more and more of my 'assignments' after their due dates.  I simply don't have the time to keep up with all the nonsense our principal gives us and oddly enough, I feel less pressured if I complete some things after she's told us they are due.

It is not something I like to get in the habit of doing, and I get my work done well in advance about 95% of the time, but in some cases when I am just stumped by the assignment, or if it is boring, or a number of other contributing factors, I just put it off. Some assignments  are given to us 2 weeks or more in advance, and then some projects are given to us and they are expected to be due in the same week! Recently I had an actor and director project to act out some of the parts for the play Julius Caesar, and as the director I had to pick the script and make sure everything went perfectly, all in under about a week and a half.

Like I said, I don't like getting in the habit, but sometimes it just happens. I am NOT going to do this in college though because I know the consequences and the severity will be much worse than in high school.

Oh yes, I procrastinate so much :p . Actually vizzed is a good help of that haha. I had a civics project once that we had a month to do. We just had to find some newspaper articles that connect to the constitution. Pretty easy right? Well I didn't start it until 2 days were left until it was due. I collected all the newspaper articles on that day, then on the last day it was due, I stayed up till 1 am working on it. That was a Sunday, but the bad part was . . . Was that I didn't start it until like 8 pm. Pretty bad, huh? Still got an A on the project though .

My 10th grade English research paper. Oh my, that was horrible. We were supposed to begin about a month into the school year, and end it the month before school ended. Of course, I sensed no doom, and thought that it would be a cinch. Turns out, I was very, very wrong. I ended up putting it off until the last three days, and of course, I would end up having writer's block on the days prior, so I wasn't able to write anything. I mean anything. I had to wait until the day it was due, and silly me, I ended up taking the day off. I decided that it was best for my writing, and so I did so. The teacher wanted us to e-mail her everything, so I couldn't just get out of that, and I worked for hours, and hours, until I turned it in through e-mail five minutes before her class started. I ended up being saved, and it was a close call. Turns out, I completely left out some integral pieces of the essay, so I ended up with a 71%, anyway, despite all of my hard work. Oh well, at least I passed.
