That would be unfortunate, if magikarp didn't evolve, than I wouldn't really care at all because it isn't useful at all. I am glad that you said that gyarados is still in the game, because I would have a much different opinion if the whole evolution line was taken out just because magikarp sucks. In this case, I could care less what happens to magikarp, its useless! But I am sure that the people that troll using him would be more affected. As long as gyarados is still in it, then I am happy, maybe they could actually give it a cool first evolution form  for a change!XD

If just Magikarp was taken out and Gyrados was left, I would have to say that Gyrados would then be considered as a Legendary pokemon. You can't just have a Pokemon like that have only one form, it would need to be legendary.

I wouldn't be sad or even against the idea of Gamefreak(developers of Pokemon) to removed Magicrap  Magikarp. I wouldn't be sad or agaist the decision to remove him because Magikarp can't learn any moves until level 27, it's only move is splash which does nothing and you can't teach it Hm's or TM's so it doesn't contribute or even have a purpose in Pokemon games other than to evolve into Gyrados(which is over rated, over powered and a ugly Pokemon).

I don't know that I'd be SAD.  However, if it never existed, it couldn't be missed anyways. 

Considering it's such a joke, however, if it was gone, there'd be no joke. No funny fan clubs. Nothing to poke fun at....  I think it's like a good gag gift.  You might not want it, but it's fun to talk about.
