What is your favorite Mario game? My favorite Mario game is Super Mario 64 because I find it to be more fun to play and addicting than any other Mario game that I have played.

Right now my favorite Mario game is Super Mario 3D Land. I like this game the most because of the awesome graphics. I also love the new levels which look great. I tink Nintendo did a great job with this game.

PacmanandMariofan : that's a tough question, to be honest i don't know but i have several mario games i have:Mario Party 8, new super mario bros wii, mario party DS, Yoshi's island for the SNES. these games comes to my mind most of the time for favorite mario games.

I still have a soft spot for "Mario Brothers 3" on the N.E.S.
It was Big.
It was fresh.
It was the start of Developers perfecting their Art.
There is a News Vid From The Game Theorist channel that explains that it did not make as much bank as it's predecessor (Mario Brothers 1). But that game came with the console. Of course it is going to outsell any of the others.

Back to Mario 3???
I was under the impression that the N.E.S. had another Five years left on it before they should have made the leap to S.N.E.S.
I honestly do not see the need to update every five years.
A solid 15 seems right.
A solid generation.
A persons solid school tenure.
But that's another discussion for another thread on another day.

Super Mario 3 maxed out the N.E.S. potential for a 2 to 5 hour game.
If they included a password system?
They could have easily turned the game into a ten hour experience.
R.P.G.'s Like "Dragon Warrior" and "Final Fantasy" already gave us the 50 to 100 hour leap.
But the graphics and action was lacking.
Then Came the Metal Gear Series. (Particularly the second one "Solid Snake". ... And Yes it did reach the united states on the N.E.S. I rented it and played it.)
There was all kinds of Brilliant moves developers were taking. If they only had the chance to perfect it even more?
I am certain that the next gen like the S.N.E.S. would have been even bigger than it was.
Same goes for each generation afterward.

Call me unoriginal, but Super Mario Bros. is my favorite Mario game. Ever. Of all time.

Honestly, my favorite Mario game is Super Mario 64. Although I grew up playing the original Mario game ALL THE TIME, I really think that Super Mario 64 is the best. Its highly addicting and gets never boring, even though I may have beat the game multiple times

My favorite Mario game is Super Mario Galaxy 2 because it was unique, very nice looking, loads of fun and really long, which are very good qualities to me. I hope we get a Super Mario Galaxy 3 on the Wii U or 3DS. 

Main game wise it's Super Mario Galaxy. Everything is gorgeous and a ton of fun!

Super Mario 3D World. Yes it is easy but it is the most fun I have had on the Wii U so far. It is even better with other people. 

My favorite Mario game is Super Mario 64 DS because it is a great 3D game, I love the music, and I like how it is not very challenging because I do not like hard games that much.

Super Mario Brothers 3 because there are so much interesting maps, and the Koopalings Airships are really fun.. And let's not forget all the cool power ups you can have.

New Super Mario Bros, the first game for the DS I had and it's still very cool. Playing against each other in battle or minigames is the best part of the game.

My favorite Mario game is Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, I find it amazing, it's an awesome RPG. It's just so good, I can't really explain it. I would recommend it to anyone, I'm sure this game is for everyone.

My favorite Mario platformer is Super Mario Bros 3. I like it a lot, the worlds are creative, the levels are fun to play, and the power-ups are astounding. It was so innovating as well.
