Tales of Convoluted Origins - Season One: Episode One:
SHADY OAKS OR BUST NintendoFanKimmy and her typically jumpy cousin Greenluigi were strolling around Vizzed City's Town Square and circled the fountain. "Dang," mouthed Green barely audibly. Kimmy turned to her cousin. "What's up, Green?" The blond sat down on the bench at the front of the fountain and sighed. "I wish we had an actual adventure for once. Every day is the same old routine, and I'm personally getting sick of it," he complained. NintendoFanKimmy reminded him of the countless adventure-genre RPGs Vizzed had to offer at the Retro Game Room. "It's just around the block," she said cheerfully. "We could play a game or two if you'd like." Greenluigi rolled his eyes and got up. "I want a real adventure, Kimmy. Not some dumb games where we act like heroes. I want to be a hero." He sulked and walked away with his head held low. "Wow," remarked Kimmy. "He's really fixed on this." 
Hopeless, both members of the thought-to-be inseparable duo returned to their home Profiles by the end of the day. Little did they know of the countless adventures that awaited them and just how heroic they would make them. The next day, NintendoFanKimmy and Greenluigi met at the usual place, a bright green meadow just outside the gates of Vizzed, which was a restricted area for them. They couldn't have cared less, though. The two collapsed next to each other and stared at the light blue sky for a while. "Hey, Green..." Kimmy began. "If what Davideo7 says is true, the fact that our Vizzed ages are our real ages subtracted by fourteen.... doesn't that make us minus two?" Green laughed and looked back up at the sun. "Yeah." The two found themselves in this awkward situation more and more often in recent years. That moment when there is just nothing to talk about. This really showed that it was about time they had set off on a journey.
 By the end of yet another long, boring day, they returned to their home Profiles yet again. This time, though, Kimmy came up with another one of her doomed-to-failure ideas that she assumed was genius. Kimmy was notorious for her mischievous ideas. The next morning, she dashed to Green's house and shook his shoulder violently. "Green! Green! Green!" Greenluigi fell out of bed and rubbed his thick hair. "Kimmy? The hell?" NintendoFanKimmy pulled him up fast and jumped; she was always a feisty, anxious character. "I have a great, great idea, cousin!" she smiled. Then, she handed the confused boy part of an accidentally torn brochure. "Shady Oaks?" he asked. "Yep!" she answered excitedly. She then proceeded to explain to him that Shady Oaks was probably a sea resort filled with video game arcades, pools, fitness centers, and most importantly, a nearby forest. "A nearby forest?" said Green, filled with hope. "That's just asking for adventure!" Then, Kimmy's grin grew wider. The two got up and slapped five, and chanted "Let's go!" in unison.  They did, of course, take into account that they were not allowed to leave Vizzed gates, but that typical "Screw the rules!" feeling got the better of both of them as usual, and they sneaked out at night when everyone was off duty. They were lucky that the part of the brochure they found included the location. They took a bus ride to the imprinted location and sat back with huge smiles on their faces. "This was a prefect time to leave," commented Greenluigi happily. "Yeah," NintendoFanKimmy chuckled. "Tour de Vizzed is about to start, and you know how Vizzed can be hell-on-earth when that happens." Green chuckled. "Ha ha. Yeah" They were so excited that they were nearly speechless, and neither of them could wait for the possible adventures that lay ahead of them. Once the bus made its stop, Green and Kimmy got off and got their bags. "Uh... Kimmy?" Green said, uneasily. The brunette turned to him and sighed. "What now?" Green seemed disappointed. "You've got it all wrong." That "uh-oh" feeling dominated the atmosphere. "Shady Oaks is a retirement village."
