Man, I used to play Runescape everyday from 2006-2011.
It was so addicting and fun to me back then especially when I wasn't even a member. Sadly, I don't play it anymore because Runescape upgraded their graphics and changed their gameplay a lot and I've been much busier with school now.

Yes, they made the oldschool servers members only. To me, it's worth the seven bucks a month for the nostalgia. I feel like if they made the oldschool free to play as well, it would flourish and they would see a dramatic drop in players on Runescape 3.

I played from 2004-2009 but when I tried to come back at the release of RS3, my level one-hundred-and-something player with full Varoks set and half a dozen dragon weapons (but no money at all lol) was banned. It probably got hijacked. I restarted under the name RainbowDashZ and got to the mid-50s but the game just doesn't feel fun anymore.

It feels like the new Runescape is focusing on the graphics than the gameplay and that's what the old school Runescape provided. There's a huge difference in players between the two. The new Runescape has around some thousands of people while the old school Runescape had a couple of hundred thousands through a few millions of people.

I've been playing it since it was the retro kind but now I never play it anymore because I don't like the new Runescape. That and also I don't have paid membership so I can't access the free worlds.

A few months ago he convinced me to make an RS account. I played a good bit at first (EOC that is, I'm a noob that doesn't know any better) but now I just log in every now and then. Often I'm on just long enough to complete a couple of daily challenges.

My friend really likes to go bossing but apparently its hard to get a team together, if you're interested in something like that go ahead and ad him. His user name is "mourge seth" (I got his permission before posting it.)
