I asked about this in the chat and I got the response that the service this site was using to host the toons got shut down along with Megaupload and places like that.  So they took it down since none of the videos could work anymore.

But that's just what I heard in chat so I can't offer any more info on the subject or determine if it's true.  Hopefully someone could clear this up.

The Retro Toon Room streamed off of Megavideo, which got shut down due to copyright reasons. So the Retro Toon Room's links got removed, then eventually it got closed, and then they added the Video Game Room to fill that empty space. I've messed around a little bit with the coding and I've managed to get to the toon screen, but it still doesn't run. Maybe David will connect it to some other streaming site in the future.

The real reason the RTR was deleted is because 90% of the videos there were hosted by Megavideo. As we all know Megavideo was closed by the FBI and since all the video in the RTR were hosted by Megavideo they all got deleted too. Hence the death of the Retro Toon Room.

It wasn't used by many people anyways but I watch Sonic The Hedgehog on it. There are an abundant of ways to watch them elsewhere so it's not a big deal. The space can be used for something more worthwhile and it was.
