Okay, before you think, "what?", I'm going to tell you about Pi day. I may be early, but I don't want to be late. Okay, as you know Pi is used in calculating things that have to do with a circle. Why Pi day, you ask. Well Pi is 3.14159.... and on and on and on. The first three digits are 3.14, the date you're suppose to celebrate it.

Pi day is celebrated to appreciate that number. Without it, you would've had try harder ways of calculating the area of the circle. The wheel would've looked wonky.

So why don't we celebrate this by, I don't know, drawing a circle or something?

Pi day is my favorite. 

Our school has this competition to see who can bake the best pie. The winner gets like 150 bucks plus a free day from math. The entirety of Pi day we do absolutely nothing and math, and it's beautiful.

This day sounds pretty cool. Too bad. I don't think it is celebrated here in the UK. Wouldn't make much sense considering we write like DD/MM/YYYY. Pi day here would be 03/14/. There would have to be at least fourteen months in the year.

It's too bad I've never been in any number memorizing contest; I'd love it.

My school serves very small pieces of apple pie every day at lunch, but on pi day you get to eat as much as you'd like. Plus, it's the one day they have many, many different flavors.

I remember celebrating this back in middle school and my math teacher celebrated this day by bringing in pie and pizza and cookies and stuff like that to class and we watched a movie, it turned out to be a pretty awesome day. I only know about the first 30 digits of pi and that is already enough of a hassle as it is, but I don't think I could learn anymore than 50, nor would I have the interest to either.
