Who remembers the Super Mario Movie? One of the worst VG related fiascos ever. Apparently Nintendo forgot this?

Final Fantasy Movie anyone? It costed SquareEnix a fortune, and caused them to scrap some projects to stay afloat. Nintendo can't afford a risk like that when they already have the WiiU problem on their hands (record low console sales).

Still, for some reason (perhaps a morbid curiosity), I find myself wanting to see it so badly. lol I haven't clicked the link yet, but I can't see it being well done at all if it's live action, yet if it's CG then many people will look over it. Tough call, but I hope they pick CG.

Beastmode64 : Sega isn't out of business, they just lost the old console wars. If there wasn't Sega, there wouldn't be Sonic Team, or Sonic at all, anymore. And they released Binary Domain not too long ago, even if it was disappointing. They even make those urinal video games in Japan! Sorry for no urinal game link, I'm at school, and looking that up may be looked down upon.

If Nintendo has a heavy hand in production, and respects the maturity of long-time fans of the series, I believe it may be good. Good until the sequels that is. Every good movie has bad sequels now.
