I'm 14, do you really want me to answer this question?

I've never had sex (heck I've never even kissed a girl), but I imagine it is better than music. I am not really a huge music fan. I like it, but sex is better (I think).

As you can probably guess. I Have never had sex let alone been in a relationship, so I can't fully answer this, but I think music is amazing and a world without it would be dull and lifeless. It lifts your soul and it also lets you express who you are and bring forth a sense of individuality. I may not know sex from experience but I feel as if it is probably overrated, nothing against it or anything, but I feel like most guys make it out to be more than what it really is, but that is just me. However I am only 16 so as an adult this may change, but as of right now I think a world without music is a rather bland one personally.

I would rather live in a world without music. Because, if there was no such thing as sex, we wouldn't be able to reproduce, and humanity will come to an end quickly.

I would rather live in a world without music. The pros outweigh the cons. I don't listen to much music myself but the main reason is reproduction. You wouldn't really be here without sex. Also another major reason is if someone wants to have a family. Sure you could adopt but it's not as special. We do need sex to keep the world running. There's also other forms of entertainment aside from music. The problem is people think of sex as mainly for pleasures and not for the fact that we need it. The only reason I could think of not to have it is the fact that you may not have it so it would be no use to you. But we would still need it either which way.

It is actually a pretty interesting question. Sex is reproductive, yes; but if we did not have it to begin with, I'm certain God would have given other means so that we wouldn't need it. But at the same time, humans are naturally musical. Nature itself is musical. Even users who say that they never listened to music for most of their lives couldn't argue that they never learned to clap, snap, whistle, sing in church, etc. We are intentionally designed for both, I think. We need rhythm to our lives, so we snap to ourselves to gather our thoughts; we need deep connection with another person, so we have sex.
Here's my point: in a world without "established" music, we would still be inclined to make it (how do you think it started to begin with?)
But getting sick is only part of the reason sex is not something to be taken lightly; there are actually "attachment" hormones that take effect between partners, which is why "friends with benefits" is impossible and one-night-stands are so emotionally traumatic. It deepens a couple's relationship more than any other act or word, to the point that it is simply foolish to just give it away (for men or women), regardless of stigma.
It is a privilege and a gift (when used properly), and, yes, enjoyable. It is the most intimate design emotionally, spiritually, and physically - THAT is why it is meant for monogamous marriage, for a heart truly committed to two people who love each other and (ideally) love God. (But I guess that is another topic)

With that, my vote is to have never known music. While I appreciate music for what it is and my radio never leaves Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, etc., my heart longs for the appreciation of a full commitment to my person.

Also, responding to you all because I personally feel like you all covered the best of both sides and if there were a post-by-post vote on who had the best responses, you would all get mine.

I would prefer music over sex... Women only view me as a friend and not as a sexual creature so it really doesn't matter to me/

If there was another way for people to reproduce, than I would definitely choose Music. Music is one of the things that I seem to be unable to function with, It's just become a big part of my life.

Plus, sex for me isn't important. I find it disgusting and unhealthy.

I have never had sex. My personality is usually not conducive to obtaining such a thing. However, I feel as if it would still be better to live in a world without music, versus one without sex. Obviously, there are the factors involved with keeping the human race alive, but there are also the pleasurable and intimate aspects of the action. I enjoy music occasionally, but it is not a very significant part of my life, and I can definitely do without it. When it comes to sex though, I am almost 100% positive that it is better than music, despite never having partaken in the act myself. I would choose a world without music.
