I've spent the past few days adding a bunch of awesome features to the Video Game Room.

Systems, Controllers & Accessories Added
The Video Game Room now includes Systems, Controllers and Accessories. A lot of them currently have no price data and most of them have no images but that'll change in the near future. There's also a lot of hardware missing so if you notice something that needs to be added, contact the RGR Staff.

The pages for video game hardware will basically be the same as a game page except with a few features missing. You'll be able to see prices, a rarity score, ebay listings and you'll be able to add them to your Game Collection and Wishlist. You'll also be able to review them, make comments on them, make threads about them and submit content to them.

To me personally, this is an awesome update and one I've been wanting to make since I opened up the Video Game Room. The video game systems are just as important to retro gaming and game collectors as the games themselves and the controllers & accessories are nostalgic as well.

The following search will display just hardware in the Video Game Room:
https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/index.php?noRetail=true&noDigital=true

Video Game Room Filters and Additional Details
You can now have the VGR search filter your results. You can have it so that it doesn't return Digital Games, Retail Games and/or Hardware. You can also have it show just Hardware, to do this you'll want to first click 'X Digital Games' and than on the new page you'll want to than click 'X Retail Games' and than you'll be seeing Systems, Controllers and Accessories only.

The search results of the VGR will show whether a listing is a Game or a Hardware. If it's a game, it'll also let you know what type of game it is (for example, Arcade Game, Indie Game, eShop Game, PSN Game, etc).

Here's an example of a Hardware search:
https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/index.php?noDigital=true&noRetail=true

More Content and Systems Added
Over the past few months, the RGR Staff and myself have invested many hours to adding content and graphics to the games of the VGR. Many hours have also been spent sorting through ebay listings so that the prices displayed on the game pages are as accurate as we can get them. The staff have also been working hard to get the latest games added.

I've also added few systems lately, which include CD-i, N-Gage, Odyssey 2, Neo Geo CD and a few others.

You can find a full list of Game Systems in the VGR here:
https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/browse.php?sort=system

Game Collection Profile Updated
The Game Collection of your profile now only displays up to 10 games per a system but offers a link that you can click which will quickly display the rest of the games you own for that system. For users like myself who have a lot of games in their collection, having them all displayed by default made it hard to navigate the page, with this update you can navigate and search for games more quickly.

The Game Collection displays any accessories, controllers or systems that you add to your collection. The listings for each system will be separated based on what it is and all hardware will have an initial next to it specifying what it is.

You can view my Game Collection to see an example of these updates:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/profile.php?id=1&profile=collection
(Note: I have yet to add my entire collection to my vizzed profile)

Collection Grade
Your collections are now given a Grade based on all of the rarity scores of your game collection. Each game in the VGR has a rarity score which is based on how often that specific game or hardware appears on ebay. So you can get a grade from anywhere between an F to an A+ (A+ being near impossible to get).

You can find more information regarding the Video Game Rarity Guide here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=72196

Other various fixes and updates
You should also notice a bunch of other little fixes and updates here and there through the Video Game Room. One of those updates includes 3D box art for all of the systems (previously, the 3D model only displayed for a few systems).

If you have any questions or feedback, please let me know in this thread.

Wow, I haven't noticed that grade collection thingy in my profile. Hmmm let's see... Oh C+, not that bad. Ah my treasures, that reminds me I have to add the other games and stuff in the future. Yes, my collection is not complete. When I think my mother wants me to get rid of some of my games... Ha ha ha no way, they'll come with me anyway

Laian : You have an awesome collection and it's really cool that you put in lots of details and a picture for every game in your collection. Can't wait to see you add the rest of your games to your collection.

Davideo7 :
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Basically, the remaining games I need to add are mostly PS2 games. Also, I have two other games that I own but unfortunately haven't found while browsing the RGR and VGR: "Micro Maniacs" and "Shadow of Memories". I was probably tired, that might be a possibility but I kept the pictures somewhere safe until they appear in the VGR. And finally, the rest of my collection is the PC games, physical and digital copies (also known as Steam and GOG games). However I can't add these at that moment :/

Laian : Yeah it'll be a while before PC games get added to the RGR. Any time you find a missing game, you can contact the RGR Staff and they can get it added for you.

Thanks Davideo7 for all that you do and creating this fun site. The game collecting thing sounds cool. Last time I looked my rank was C. I guess it is because I have a lot of the classic games.

Oh no worries, I'll be patient and wait gently. Well, my PC games will wait gently ha ha. As for the missing games, I'll make sure to ask my mates about that. I should tell them about these two missing games, unless they are already aware of that.

What video games will be displayed on the truncated list? The first 10 you add, the first 10 alphabetically, or can you choose which 10 are displayed?

Surgiac : By default it's in order alphabetically but you can choose the order by clicking the links at the top of each set of systems. For example, if you want it in order by rarity, you can click the rarity link.

A superb update! =3 Can do with some refinement, but I guess the update is kinda young so far ^^ I've been scurrying around taking pictures of my systems and controllers and added as many as I could. I couldn't however find the following:

Super Nintendo Entertainment System (console)
Memory stick things for the N64 by Joy Tech (accessory)
The PSone dual shock controllers (should this go under grey shock controllers?)
The PSX multi-tab (accessory)
Honey Bee Converter for playing Japanese Sega Mega Drive games on NTSC and PAL consoles (accessory)
The PS2 system (console)
A 64MB PS2 memory card (accessory, could find 8MB however)
"Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" golden wiimote (controller)
White Nunchuck (controller)

Others I had but weren't so sure of, like USB NES controllers and N64 to USB controllers. I also has two VMU for the Dreamcast controller, but those fit into the controller so seamlessly I wasn't sure if it should have its own section. I also have a rather unique SNES controller that can connect to the Wiimote to play SNES games on the Wii, which can (or could) be purchased at Club Nintendo of Europe for 7,000 stars. Is that also a thing that can be included to the system?

Darkpower508 :

'Super Nintendo Entertainment System' was added a few days ago.
'Memory stick things for the N64' can just go under the N64 memory
'The PSone dual shock controllers' can go under Gray Dual Shock Controller
'Playstation Multitap' has just been added
'Honey Bee Converter' has been added
'Playstation 2' System was already added but they didn't have the word 'Console' in their title; now they do
'64 MB PS2 Memory Card' has been added
'Skyward Sword with Goldend wiimote' can be found here: https://www.vizzed.com/games/legend-of-zelda-theskyward-sword-%28limited-edition%29-wii-wii-41175-game
'White Nunchuk Controller' has been added

USB NES Controller and N64 to USB controller would go under 'PC' category but since we don't currently have a section for PC games and accessories, that'll have to wait.

There is a page for the VMU:
https://www.vizzed.com/games/vmu-visual-memory-card-dc-sega-dreamcast-74136-game

You'd have to get me more details on that SNES controller that you have, otherwise I wouldn't know what to name the page.

Feel free to add content to any of those pages that have been added recently or that I added today for you.

Thank you for all the adds. I've just added them to my collection ^-^

The SNES controller I am talking about is called the "Wii Super Nintendo Classic Controller", and this video here explains to rather well if you're wanting to look at it nearly first hand, even though I'm not a fan of unboxing videos :/

Darkpower508 : Wow, that must be rare, I can't even find a listing for it on ebay but I can find the Super Famicom version.

Anyways, I made a page for both products, feel free to add details to them.
