My favorite Pokémon Region is definitely Johto. I always preferred the cities and towns, and always liked the pokemon better. Also, silver's always been my favorite Pokémon game.

I like the Johto region the most because I liked their soundtrack from each city and town and also I liked the Johto journey better than the others. There were also challenging gym leaders in general like Whitney with her annoying Miltank especially at a low level.

My favorite's always been Hoenn, I've always loved the cities and landscape, plus Ruby Version was my first Pokémon game so I also have nostalgia and memories attached to the region. I also love the Hoenn Pokémon.

I guess I would have to go with Kalos because of all the new Pokémon and mega Pokémon, and most of them I like.
Kanto was close because its where I started my journey and Unova is my favorite soundtrack(mainly because of the music with a moment lol).

I like Sinnoh. Everything was placed in the perfect spot, easy to navigate and there was a large post-game area to explore. The region is full of random caves, which even now continue to catch my interest as to what their purpose is. These were some of the many secrets hidden around the region, and you were never forced to explore any of them in the story.

There was also a whole complex of underground tunnels below the land and a few islands to find.

The region had the Canalave library, which taught us about the history of the Pokémon world.

 

Hoenn was a good reason, but it was confusing to navigate and doesn't have all of the brilliant little bits that Sinnoh had.
