What's your favorite game genre? Is it sandbox, shooter, RPG, or one of the many other genres? Feel free to post a game from that genre as an example if you want to. My favorite genre would be RPG. I like how easily you can get caught up in there stories and how there often set in an alternate timeline or different universe. A well know example for this genre would be the Elder Scrolls series.

Well both were very mainstream at some time, sides in the 80's - early 90's and FPS' are very mainstream today. 
Personally there have been more terrible FPS games like CoD and Killzone (imo) so sidescrollers it is...

I prefer Platformers and puzzlers. They give me a bit of challenge.
