What's the poorest life choice you've ever made? If it's personal, feel free not to share it if you do not want to. And honestly, my answer is so personal, and I just don't trust you guys enough yet. Sorry.

I got lazy with college classes and I skipped a few and ended up taking an extra year to get a degree.  it cost me a ton of money, didn't let me get into the workplace as soon as I could, and generally backed my life up years.  I'm still catching up after all this time.
Kids, go to school and FINISH!

Hmm, I would have to say when I moved in with my father my 8th grade year. Everything was fine at first he helped me with my homework but I started getting bullied a lot in school the kids were so cruel. I had enough problems that year as it was and when I switched schools it got worse the bullies were horrible. One day I came home and I was crying and upset because of how bad of a day I had at school and how much I was being bullied. My dad is an alcoholic and his tick is whisky when he drinks it he gets evil and abusive. He didn't like my crying and got in my face that night he started calling me every name in the book. Any thing you can think of he called me it. It was terrible he told me how worthless I was and the list went on and on. I ran up the road to my grandma's and called my mom and she came and got me. It was the worst thing that I could of done which was live with my father I keep thinking if I didn't move in with him I wouldn't of had to experience the abuse but things happen and it's life I guess. All I can do now is hope one day he realizes what he did wrong and changes.

My poorest life choice was starting down the path of sleep deprivation. I get enough sleep, so that's not the problem. It was the bad habits that I took up when sleep deprived. I started slouching more and really hurt my back and posture within several months in tenth grade. Since then, I've been consciously trying to get my posture to the perfection it was before.
Since then I've also gotten used to using my laptop on my lap, which isn't the healthiest thing for me =P
I find it much harder to do my homework at my desk at night, since I've been studying on my bed for so long.

I really had to think this through the other night. Sure I have made plenty but none of them have totally ruined my life and I think of them just as live and learn kind of life lessons that without which I would not be the person that I am but finally today I realised that there is one actually.

I was fourteen and the guys during recess had found a half-pack of cigarettes and I was asked to have a go at it. Well, I figured, I should at least try it. Its not like I am going to become a smoker after just one puff.

That is the worst decision I ever made I guess. (Yes, I still smoke after almost 20 years after that day.)

The poorest choice I made was not being open with people. Years ago I started to get sick it was later determined I had a non cancerous brain tumor, that was growing. As the tumor started to grow my behavior changed. But I did not tell anybody I had a tumor, some of my friends thought I was going insane and as a result they left me. I also lost a potential relationship due to not being open about what was going on. I sometimes think had I been more open with people maybe things would have been different. On January 1st 2010 I had the tumor removed. I feel like my personal Lord and Savior Jesus guided the surgeons hands. But me not being open I feel like was one of my poorest choices I made

tornadocam :

That is really rough. Did removing the tumor change your behaviour back? Plus do you think it would be to late to tell the people the truth after all this time? I am not saying you should definitely do this. Just thinking maybe it might not be too late, maybe they would understand and it would give you some peace of mind, maybe?

Yes the tumor changed my behavior back. Once I fully recovered I tried to reach out and tell them what was going on. But they would not hear of it.  But I feel like I did my part by apologizing to them and trying to make the effort. I tried to tell them that I also had Autism, and that scared them more.

tornadocam :

Ah geez. Well, the most important thing is that the tumor was not lethal and that you did your part. Also it is sad if people find autism scary. Try not to feel too bad about it. It is not about your decisions really.

I made many choices that we're considered poor by others under wich my family. But in my own eyes they were choices i made to either help or protect others. But there is one choice i do consider a poorly made one. And one i still regret to this very day, a choic ei made 1 year ago . a Year Ago i was diagnosed with a Chronical Muscle Balance Disorder in my right shoulder and was told i could no longer do Any jobbs involving Heavy Lifting. And because of it i gave up my job. Yet to this day had no luck finding a new one. Because of it, me,my fiancee and our child we're forced to give up our own house and move back in with her parents. So from my view it was a Poor choice to listen to the doc and give up my job for the sake of my health. To this day i still wish i ha dkept my job even if it was not good for my shoulder. At least i would have been able to support my family . But due to a Prior choice in life where i had quit school and started working to financially support my mother. I am Left without any sort of degree and so my choices in jobs i can do with my handicap are very few and most won't hire me because i am not as cheap as a Foreigner or student.

While my poorest life choice is not as serious or life-threatening as the others listed above, I still do feel somewhat negative about it (though it did help me out overall). In tenth grade I decided to listen to my friends and take up all honors classes, especially seeing as I had only academic classes the previous year. Big mistake. After being so used to having almost no homework ever, I suddenly had to do massive amounts of homework everyday and even on the weekends. I should have at least allowed myself a transition year to get used to everything by only making half of my classes honors classes. This year though, I am taking all honors and AP courses, and I did have a transition year (tenth grade) so it's turning out all right. I am actually used to the level of homework and I find it significantly easier than tenth grade. Tenth grade though was pretty hellish as it was the first year that the teachers actually had vastly differing classes. The honors and academic disparity was on a scale like no other, and seeing as I was not used to the honors classes whatsoever, it put me under great strife.

Mine was slacking in my first college year, I got 18 GCSE's (including some equivalent level 2 qualifications) at A/ A* and distinctions for the BTEC's, I think I got one C and that was in french. Anyway, I managed to get all that without doing any work outside of school so I thought, Okay, I can take it easy my first year and just do a little bit now and then and get B's maybe A's. It turns out I managed to get three C's but I had to do two resits which cost me about £80 in total.
I am in my second year now and I am starting uni in September and I am getting A's in my mock exams now but I am working my backside off.

Easy question.  My only regret in life so far is that when I went to Texas A&M university I shucked my responsibilities and partied all day and night the entire year I was there.  I almost never went to class didn't try at all.  Oh well you live and learn.  I have since gone back to school and gotten a nursing degree (though that isn't the field of my current job).

I am still a Kid, but, choosing Home Schooling, i though that was the BIGGEST MISTAKE.
But, If I didn't choose that, I wouldn't be able to switch school, and choose Someone I LOVE. So, waiting for her to go online to ask what school she is in, look at the website, if true, try to go in the same school because I can't go on w/out her anymore.
