I live close to my local movie theater, so I go several times a year. Last year I went to 7. The majority of my movies were watched on my computer or off a DVD. Which leads me to my questions, how often do you go to the movie theater? Do you prefer to watch movies there or at home?

I do not go to the theater. For a few reasons one a lot of things are in three dimensional now and that hurts my eyes. I also do not like theaters because of the noise. You see I am a person with Autism so its a sensory thing for me. I like to watch movies at home. I'm a fan of Western movies like Rio Bravo and the Alamo

If there is a good movie out that we want to see, we'll go. If there is nothing good out, we can always rent a movie on fios. So maybe 1-2 a month at max. We mostly go to movie co or marquis. I only go to see a movie in theatre's if it's a movie I've been waiting for, for a long time. Like a Marvel movie or a movie based off of a book I love. Last year I think I only went 3 or 4 times.

I don't mind watching movies in the theatre. It's a fun experience and I usually go with my brother and sister's and we make a day out of it.

I do not really like going unless it really is a good film. The last movie I saw there was Gravity. A film with some great potential and even then it was better than I thought. 
I usually just wait until the DVD but even then I don't watch them sometimes. I have one or two DVD's I have not even opened yet so I must watch them soon enough.

I almost never go.
Typically, I prefer to avoid them because I don't like other people constantly talking, laughing, or almost always getting the tallest guy in the theater sitting right in front me. <<

I used to go to the theatre a lot, about five years ago I with with my ex to see a twilight movie. It was one of the worst movie experiences I've ever been tortured with, and haven't been back to the movies since.

I really don't go to the movies anymore. I don't really like these modern movies, to be honest. I'm more retro. There's too much violence, or the movie is just uninteresting for its own good. But mostly the crack about the violence in the movies. I may be 16, but I care.

People go to the movies for the experience and some movies have to be seen on the big screen.  I avoid theaters because they're expensive.  I'm an adult so the cost of a ticket can be 10 dollars or more.  Popcorn and a pop is another 15 bucks or so and I spend a ton of movie when I can do something else with that cash.

I also don't care for most of the kids that watch movies.  They're noisy, they show off for each other, they text, they distract.  That's not for me.  I have a house with beer I can drink and popcorn that's paid for all ready and I don't have to go out for it.

If I do, it's an afternoon show.  I saw Hunger Games II the other day and it was nice and quiet with my wife and a few other people.

Lastly, movies aren't that good these days.  Everything is a reboot, a sequel, a prequel, and they don't do anything different.  I'm not into superheroes so that limits what I can watch.

I go about 24 times a year which isn't that much for me. Pop and popcorn are really expensive as well so We don't go there like every week.
