Personally, I like SMB2. I think the reason it's so unpopular is because of its major departures from the traditional Mario formula and setting. The fact that it is the only game in the series to go its direction probably weirds people out.

i dont know why i like it alot i thought it was great i play it everyday really i do it sux you have to start all over but f@@# it you know haha you would if you weere into the game as much as i am!

i like it, but i know why they hate it. the game was so much different and harder than super mario bros.

It's ok, but I place it kind of low on the Mario game list. There are many other Mario games that are better.

Yes it was on the American Nintendo. I played it when I was a kid. <.< It was insanely hard though I think I could beat it now with all my game play experience. ^.^

It was harder, worse looking, and most of all, it was another game, simply used with Mario sprites.

I thought it was alright. It was different but it wasn't bad. I liked how you could choose from the entire cast and each one had a different ability.

I would say that it is hated because it is different. I played it on the GBA and I loved it. This was before I knew that it was a cheap rip off but I still loved that game to death.

I don't think it deserves so much hate but at the same time I'm not really a big fan of it. My favorite Mario games are 3, Mario World, and Mario World 2.

It didn't have a lot of features that have made Mario a classic. Also, it didn't have a save feature (until the Lost Levels). That really bummed me out when I played it as a kid. Now, it's no prob for me, and I love the game more than a lot of other Mario titles.

i think because it was a rip off of the doki doki panic game, and that some people may have felt that they could have bought DDP and saved money... but that's just my idea

I think that the reason most people hate smb2 is because they think it is boring.But i don't think it is such a bad game.

There are people who has their own kind of tastes for which games they like. I think SMB2 is a good game though the levels were hard sometimes.

I don't love the game, but I don't hate it either. It's an ok game, just not the best.

I have a ROM of Ninja Gaiden. I had it as a kid, but the NES died. I can't get past the first level... It's an awesome game, though. Now here's one that's even harder: Dragon Wang for the SG-1000. It is labeled a Master System game when played on emulators, but it is really for the SG-1000. It was only sold in Japan, and the name is obviously why most people even bother with it, but it's hard. ...Remember, just because I said Dragon Wang is hard doesn't mean I was trying to slip any naughty jokes in.

Here's a game that even worse: Battletoads!

I love the American Super Mario Bros. 2, actually. It's pretty fun. Just a bit stupid in execution. It's like Mario's Missing! It wouldn't be so hated if it didn't have Mario slapped in. I like Mario's Missing, personally. It just is hindered by the franchise it was unlucky enough to be in.
