Hail ... like snow and stone fuesed .. Impact of it hurdling from the sky with the acceleration due to gravity Must be .. hard . So have any you you ever experienced it ? A hail storm ? 

We were driving around after visiting my Grandmothers and then a hail storm began to form. We weren't exactly caught up with the storm. But when we got out of the car, it hit us. And it hurt...a lot. Feels like jagged stone hitting you. But that was a huge one (for these parts of the UK anyway) and most of them around here are only small.

Well, i Have been in some small ones. Living in Atlanta there is not much Hail but I have been in one big on and 5 or 6 small ones.

I do not remember if I have been in a hail storm before. I remember there was some bad weather that happened six years ago, but I can't remember if it was hail, snow or just ice...

I've been in a few hailstorms before. It can get pretty dangerous. All those little chunks hitting glass...Yeah.

I live in Kansas. The only kind of weather we don't often are the ones that you have to live near the ocean to have. Hail storms are not remotely uncommon here. I have been in ones where the hail was only pebble sized, and I have been in ones where they were larger than golf balls. Heck, a hail storm is what caused me to be able to take an insurance check to pay off the rest of my car

Yes I have. While it was not intense, the hail storm did damage a car and the roof. Luckily I have never been caught outside in a hail storm, so I can be thankful for that. 

In Utah, thunderstorms and snow storms are common. due to the cold weather, we do occasionally have hailstorms. I have been in hailstorms with hail the size of small beads to deafening hail literally the size of golf balls.

Around here we get at least one really bad hail storm every year and it does a lot of property damage and always between golfball and baseball size and they hurt really bad getting hit by 

Yes I have been in one. And it  wasn't very pretty, as those hail was hurting me in a way...sometimes I would be lucky that I was in the car, when it happens...while at other times I could be outside.

Nope, I have never been in a hail storm before, it has only hailed once where I live and it is the only time I have ever seen one. It wasn't even a storm really, just a light showering of it. Nothing too serious. I would hate to be in one though because I know they can cause a lot of destruction. The one time it hailed, the hail was about dime to nickel in size, so it wasn't baseball sized hail, therefore it didn't do much damage. So i don't think I would consider it a storm or anything. 

Well I think I was but it was not really a storm it was more like a short group of hail falling for 5 minutes.

What's so strange, though, is that I LOVE gloomy weather...for some reason...for example, it's been raining here in South Africa for three consecutive days (and it's the middle of summer ?) and I've been in a very good mood ever since...there's something about the grey clouds and the rain that draw me to storms. The only thing I don't like about them is the damage they cause...

Oh yeah, I think that in someplace or other, they found hailstones about the size of a golf ball...I don't know exactly where... 

I've been in quite a few hail storms in my life. I wasn't outside in it but i have been in my house when it was going on. Most times it just sounds like a bunch of penny's falling out of the sky. The last time we had one it sounded like somebody was dropping golf balls all at once and it didn't let up for a while. It kept going for at least a half hour. Every hail storm we had up into that one you would hear a drop of hail every 30 seconds or so give or take. But the last one we had just didn't stop, it was like it was raining hail. I had my tv volume up full blast and still could barely hear the tv. And my tv volume goes up to 300. I use to play my cd's on my dvd player when i went out into the pool at my old house so i had something to listen 2 while i was swimming and my pool was in the middle of the yard and i had a big freaking yard. I only had my tv volume on 80 and i could hear my cd's as clearly as if i was sitting in the living room. That is how loud this hail storm was. It was pretty annoying 2 say the least.
